ME2400 Vortex Flow Meter is a type of flow meter that utilizes the principle of Kármán vortex street to measure the rate of fluid flow. The meter consists of a sensor which is mounted in line with the pipeline and when the fluid moves through the meter it creates a series of vortices behind the sensor. These vortices are measured by the meter and the frequency of the vortices is used to calculate the rate of fluid flow. Mechelex Instruments Vortex meters are often used to measure steam, gas and liquid flow and they are more accurate than other flow measuring devices such as turbine meters.
