Solar water heating (SWH) is the conversion of sunlight into renewable energy for standard water warming using a solar thermal collector. Solar water heating systems comprise various technologies that are used worldwide increasingly.
In a "close-coupled" SWH system the storage container is horizontally mounted immediately above the solar collectors on the roof. No pumping is required as the hot water naturally rises into the container through thermo siphon flow. In a "pump-circulated" system the storage container is ground- or floor-mounted and is below the level of the collectors; a circulating pump moves standard water or heat transfer fluid between the container and the collectors.
SWH systems are designed to deliver hot water for most of the year. However, in winter there sometimes may not be enough solar heat gain to deliver sufficient hot water. In this case a gas or electric booster is used to heat the water.
Normally non pressurised systems are working up to 0.8 Kg / Cm2, The storage tank is placed at a certain height relative to the top of the collector to prevent the reverse circulation during off-sun shine hours. In this system, hot water storage tank can be under normal pressure of cold water overhead tank so gravitational force of overhead cold water tank comes to bottom of hot water tank at normal pressure ( non pressurized), hot water comes out from top of hot water solar tank and release at the end of tap as a regular.

Hot water is a basic necessity, which unfortunately can be expensive if availed through traditional water heating methods. Turn to the power of the sun for your residential or commercial water requirements and benefit from instant hot water all year long, at practically no cost.
Whether you run a home, office, hotel, hospital or an industrial establishment, quick and easy access to hot water is not just necessary, but rather, critical to your operations. Relying on boiler technology is not a cost-effective solution in the long-term, running up heavy electricity bills, month on month, year after year.
Every business and home can gain from the abundant power of the sun through a solar water heating system, which provides clean and renewable energy thus balancing commercial and environmental impact.
