Thruster rail clamps Thruster rail clamps are used in moving machines like travelling trippers of coal handlingrnplant, gantry cranes and semi gantry cranes. Thruster rail clamp is attached to the travellingrnbogie of the moving machine one or two numbers per rail. in case of travelling tripper, even though it is stopped by shutting off the drive, the running tripper belt drags the tripper on the rail. To avoid this dragging, thruster rail clamps are used. In case of gantry and semi gantry cranes, thruster rail clamps are used to hold the cranes to the rail in case of storm and avoid toppling. Operation of thruster rail clamp – when the machine power is put on, the thruster operates, opening the clamp against spring force and the machine moves freely on the rail. When the power to machine is shut, thruster is shut, closing the clamps on the rail with the spring force. gathering unit function - gathering unit consist of gathering arms, cutter and aspirator. For winders winding 8 threads or 12 threads, instead of providing cutter aspirator per thread, one gathering unit is fitted above the winder. If any of the threads breaks, yarn sensor will a give signal to gathering unit. The arms of gathering unit will collect remaining threads, bring them to center, cutter will cut the same and aspirator will start sucking the cut threads. Similarly when doffing is completed, signal will be given to the gathering unit and above action will repeat. advantages � since one cutter and one aspirator is used instead of 8 or 12, compressed air is saved substantially, reducing operating cost. Threading from aspirator to winder becomes easy and avoid wastage. Thus production losses are reduced substantially.
