Markanday Traders has been leading distributor of Heera Brand of Saffron, depuis 1950, to US, UK and many European countries. We started as a family business primarily dealing in the field of Saffron, trading high quality Kashmiri Saffron, Persian or Iranian Saffron, Moroccan Saffron and Spanish Saffron. Markanday Traders took the flight to success under the aegis of Late Seth Sh. Hukam Chand Sethi. During its heydays, the company ventured into saffron trading. As the company started to grow and implemented full diversification, Sh. Krishan Kumar Sethi, the talented son of Late Seth Sh. Hukam Chand Sethi joined the company operations. Sh. Krishan Kumar Sethi was truly seen as a business man and a visionary by his professional peers, and his quest for growth of the company and exploring the western markets led Markanday Traders to new avenues. The family business continued to prosper and made huge market presence in the arena of Ayurvedic Medicine, besides saffron trading. Keeping the family traditions on, Mr. Vishawjeet Sethi the able and foresighted grandson of Late Seth Sh. Hukam Chand Sethi joined his father Sh. Krishan Kumar Sethi. After his joining the business, Markanday Traders has transformed into multi faceted company venturing into trading and supplying of Saffron, Indian Drugs and Asafetida (HINGU) in India and abroad. Vishawjeet Sethi is an innovative businessman with modern thinking and taste for renaissance. It is this very taste which led him to explore and venture into Indian hospitality market. Three new hotels have started their operations under guidance of Sh. Vishawjeet Sethi, and these include, Hotel Le Plaza, Capital Hotel and the New Capital Hotel respectively.
