Check valve is a mechanical device, a valve, that normally allows a fluid to flow through it in only one direction. Check valves are two-port valves, meaning they have two openings in the body, one for fluid to enter and the other for fluid to leave. There are various types of check valves used in a wide variety of applications. Although they are available in a wide range of sizes and costs, many check valves are very small, simple, and / or cheap. Check valves work automatically and most are not controlled by a person or any external control; accordingly, most do not have any valve handle or stem. The bodies (external shells) of most check valves are made of metal.
An important concept in check valves is the cracking pressure which is the minimum upstream pressure at which the valve will operate. Typically the check valve is designed for and can therefore be specified for a specific cracking pressure.
Ball valves come in two basic designs: Floating Bail and Trunnion Mounted, with three basic construction variants: Three piece, End Entry and Top Entry with options of either full or reduced bore designs, Principally designed as an on/off isolation valve for a very wide range of temperatures and pressures they have inherent quick opening flow characteristics. Specially designed ball valves however, may offer good flow control capabilities at High Pressure. Ail ball valves offer compact actuation due to their rotary quarter-turn operation. Firesafe versions are available for use in the oil and petrochemical industries.
FeaturesA Float through a simple lever mechanism opens of closes the valve according to the condensate level inside the trap. The opening is proportional with condensate rate. It is unaffected by instantaneous with condensate rate. These types of steam traps are specially used where prompt and continous discharge of condensate is necessary. For such cases float traps are the ideal traps as well automatically control systems to prove adequate heat transfer.
Features :
Low cost of ownership :Stainless stell base for longer life, low maintenance and minimal system downtime.
No live steam loss :Achieved by self aligning valve and water seal.
Erosion resistant :Improved design with simplified flow paths to reduce erosion.
Effective condensate drainage :Modulating valve orifice mechanism that provides complete and immediate condensate removal under all positive pressure load conditions.
Quick start-up :Integral air vent for maximum venting ofair to improve productivity.
High Quality Product :Improved materials and surface finish offer a high quality product.
Impact resistance :Strong float construction guaranteed against waterham
These types of strainers are named after their shape and normally used for course filtration. But with large filtration area can be used with fine mesh also. Body of Y strainer is normally of cast iron or cast steel in various grades with flanged and socket weld type end connection. Fabricated Y strainers are also available. Tee strainer is fabricated from pipes & plates or standard equal tee & flange. Filter elements are made of stainless steel perforated sheet or wire mesh supported by perforated sheet. In tee type strainer many times a structural skeleton made of flats and round bar is used to support the wire mesh. Conical strainer installed in housing is generally used on suction side & named as suction strainers also. Low pressure drop, compact size, robust design and ease of maintenance are some special features of these type strainers.
Air Valve are mainly used to release or admission of air when water/ fluid being filled or emptied.
