Mabitab 1500 partially pregelatinized maize starch versatile excipient for capsule filling, direct compression and wet granulation mabitab 1500 is a new partially pregelatinized maize starch designed for pharmaceutical use. it has been developed as a filler for two-piece hard gelatin capsules. Mabitab 1500 is a free-flowing and self-disintegrating powder with high bulk density, making it most suitable for this application. Excellent flow properties and bulk density allow homogenous filling of capsules. It is made from native starch by simple and unique physical modification which ensures rapid disintegration and drug release. Mapectin mapectins are polysaccharides derived from natural biopolymers modified to give gelling at lower temperatures. normal pectin requires about 60 degrees celsius temperature whereas mapectin sets at room temperatures. this is a revolutionary step in the field of food thickener. mapectin can be set without sucrose, hence low calorie sweeteners can be used in preparations using mapectin. Mapectin is first and foremost a gelling agent and is used to impart a gelled texture to products, mainly fruit-based foods. The gelling ability is further utilized where a stabilization of multiphase foods is required, either in the final product or at an intermediate stage in the process. Very hard tablets where other superdisintegrants do not perform well Cel-Ca-Dissol performs very much satisfactorily. Quantity to be used in pharmaceutical formulation is very less. Cel-Ca-Dissol is required almost half the amount of other brands of Crosslinked Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose to acheive similiar performance of tablet dissolution

Carboxymethylcellulose Calcium CARMELLOSE CALCIUM
Introduction: Importance of bio-availability and fast disintegration of pharmaceutical tablet is realized and awarness for super-disintegrants in pharmaceutical tablet formulation has also increased. Superdisintegrant viz. Sodium Starch Glycollate was also introduced by Maple Biotech Pvt Ltd. in year 1991, which was appreciated in quality and performance by pharmaceutical industry . Although quest for superior quality superdisintegrant was not over . Superdisintegrant with better stability and superior performance at high tablet hardness level was sought and Maple Biotech's R & D department developed the product Crosslinked Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose which is bearing brand name Cel-Ca-Dissol. Further taking into consideration the requirement for faster dissolution aid for tablets containing ingredients having poor solubility, Calcium Carboxymethylcellulose (Carmellose Calcium) was introduced.
