Totapuri mangoes have exported from India in various types like Pulp, Slices, Concentrate, Ripe, Chunks etc. India has exported Pulp mangoes of Totapuri with 27% of value from the totals mango export value. Totapuri mango is exporting by India in more than 40 countries across the world including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, Sudan, Netherlands, UAE, Oman etc. The value ofTotapuri mango export from India is USD 19 Millionduring January to April 2017. Totapuri is majorly exported by Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. While West Bengal, Delhi, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are also the main exporter state of Totapuri mango.
Totapuri is the famous mango found primarily in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This mango is not sweet like Alphonso mango but it is mainly used for salads. It has various other names like Bangalora, Sandersha, Kallamai, Kili Mooku, Collector, Mukku and Gilli. Totapuri mango can be easily identified by its pointed end and a thick skin.
Alphonso mango is one of the bestmangovarieties of India. It is also known as Hapus mango. Alphonso mango is a variety that does not occur in other parts of the world and can only be grown in India, due to its agronomic and climatic characteristics. It is cultivated in only western part of India such as Maharashtra region of Ratnagiri, Raigad, and Konkan. Alphonso mango is one of the expensive variety of mangoes and is exported in large quantity from India.
According to Indian mango export data, "India has no competitor country in Alphonso Mango export. This mango can't be compared with any other varieties of mangoes across the world like Tommy Atkinson or Kent mango varieties." Thus, India has been able to export this exotic fruit to the Kuwait, UAE, China, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, USA, Japan, Singapore etc. India has exported mango in value of nearlyUSD 15 Million in the year of 2019 to 2020 March.
Rajapuri mangoes are known for its larger size and sweet flavour among other mango varieties of India. It is widely used to make various products. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala and Haryana are top Rajapuri mango exporter state of India. India recordedUSD 130788 value by Rajapuri mango exportfrom January to April 2017. As per the Indian Mango Export Data, UK, Germany, France, UAE, Kuwait, Canada etc. are the top importer countries of Rajapuri mangoes.
Badami is the Karnatakas leading variety of mango and also called as Alphonso of Karnataka because its taste and texture are quite similar to Alphonso mango. India recordedUSD 1.7 Millionfrom the export of Badami Mangoes from January to April 2017, which is nearly 2.8% of the totals mango export value. Saudi Arabia, UAE, UK, Qatar, Italy, Kuwait, France, Bahrain, Germany, Singapore etc. are the Badami mango importer countries of India.
Banganapalli mangoes are quite fibreless and called as Safeda mangoes or Began Phali. It is majorly cultivated in Andhra Pradesh and found widespread across the country. It is bright yellow in colour and a white tinge and the taste is slightly sour. It is also known as the king of mangoes in south India.
In case of maexport from India, Banganapalli is majorly exported from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. India has exported these mangoes with a value ofUSD 549835from January to April 2017. India has exported Safeda mangoes in USA, Singapore, New Zealand, Qatar, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Brunei, Japan, UK, UAE, Canada, Norway, Bahrain and Netherlands during the same period.
Kesar mango is the pride of Gujarat. Kesar mangoes are simply called as Gir Kesar because the largest number of Kesar mangoes are grown in the districts of Junagadh and Amreli in the state of Gujarat. Also, Gujarat is the largest exporter state of Kesar mango followed by Maharashtra. Gujarat recordedUSD 3.17 Millionvalue from the export of Kesar mango from January to April 2017.
