Designed for handling of containers, Manitech cranes are available as optimized container cranes. Manitech cargo and container cranes have an unlimited slewing range and the equipment and machinery is mounted inside the crane housing like other cranes to protect it against marine atmosphere, each load step is working with 2-fall operation on the hook to avoid changing of wires. Each load step can operate with high speeds for hoisting, luffing and slewing depending on the load to guarantee a long lifetime of wires, there is only one or two layer on the drum, initial stage wire will be spooled on the drum with back tension of 15 to 20 tons and pressurized with wire grease.

 

The crane can be self-locking without jib support to maximize load capacity onboard, the vessel also available in slim construction (breadth 2.45m; clearance radius 1.225m), the slim edition crane allows a very high cargo handling capacity.

Manitech Bulker Cranes are characterized by high cycle times and robust construction. Manitech cranes have an unlimited slewing range and the equipment and machinery is mounted inside the crane housing to protect it against maritime atmosphere and operation in the first layer on the winch drum ensures a long lifetime of the wires, as the wire line is spooled with pressurized special wire grease and with an initial back tension of 15 tons.
