Gum Rosin

We are offering gum rosin. Backed by a cordial vendor base, we have been able to serve a distinguished collection of gum rosin gum rosin is also known as colophony or simply, rosin. It is produced from the resin collected from the coniferous trees. A v shaped cut is marked in trunk of tree; the resin obtained is collected, and is subjected to steam distillation. The residue left after distillation of resin is gum rosin .it shows its chemical activity when dissolved in organic solvents (does not dissolve in inorganic solvents. Presence of an acid functional group (-cooh) make its usage compatible in range of elastomers. It finds a wide collage of industrial applications like in paint, rubber, ink, paper, soaps, and chewing gums and in manufacture of other chemical intermediates. It is stored in cool and air tight container (galvanized iron drum). Owing to its invincible chemical properties, our range of gum rosin is demanded by clients across the nation. Our clients can avail the products at affordable rates. due to its high dissolvability in organic solvent like alcohol, gasoline and turpentine oil, gum rosin is a basic ingredient in paints and varnishes. Rosin ester is used in making thermoplastic paints which are used as road paints to set light reflection signs for clear and distant visibility. Rosin is used as a colour carrier in making printing ink. It adheres on paper firmly, preventing the blurring of presswork. gum rosin is generally used in making rubber based, pressure sensitive and hot-melt adhesive. It increases the strength, softness and adhesive power. In paper industry it used as a sizing agent to prevent the ink from dispersing on paper. It makes the paper smooth and abrasion resistant. It improves the absorption of water by paper and gives proper friction to paper, to avoid slipping of paper while printing. gum rosin is used in making chewing gums and as an emulsifier in soft drinks. As it is a very good insulator of electricity it is used in making cable and can be used as insulating coating in various electric appliances. It is used as a flux for soldering in electrical or electronics industries and in plumbing or pipe fitting. the unique physical properties of rosin make it the natural choice for many products and many industries including adhesive, paint, ink, textile, soap and paper industries. In addition to its extensive use in soap making, rosin is largely employed in making varnishes (including fine violin varnishes), sealing-wax and various adhesives. It is also used for preparing shoemakers' wax, as a flux for soldering metals, for pitching lager beer casks, for rosining the bows of musical instruments and numerous minor purposes. Gum rosin finds its consumption in rubber industry. It softens the rubber and increases the elasticity enabling the easy kneading and extrusion. It is also used as an emulsifier in production of various kinds of synthetic rubber like sbr, abr and chloroperene rubber. Addition of small amount of gum rosin increases the endurance to laceration. it is used in soap industry as a substitute of aliphatic acid because of resemblance of its chemical property with aliphatic acid and lower price. It is used as an intermediate in making antiseptics, ointments, and plasters. Gum rosins unique capacity of increasing friction is used by gymnasts, weight lifters, baseball pitchers and by stringed instruments players to improve grip. on the basis of color and softening point it is grouped under various grades. As the color of rosin darkens its softening point decreases. acid value165-175 melting point70-80 colourpole yellow ash content0.005%.

Turpentine Oil

We are offering turpentine oil. Our client can avail from us turpentine of pharma grades at industry leading price. Our range of turpentine oil is appreciated for its antiseptic and disinfectant properties. These are widely used as raw material across the chemical industry. The oil is available in various packaging and amounts. turpentine (also called spirit of turpentine, oil of turpentine, and wood turpentine) is a fluid obtained by the distillation of resin obtained from live trees, mainly pines. It is composed of terpenes, mainly the monoterpenes alpha-pinene and beta-pinene with lesser amounts of carene, camphene, dipentene, and terpinolene. It is sometimes colloquially known as turps. The word turpentine derives (via french and latin) from the greek word terebinthine, the name of a species of tree, the terebinth tree. Mineral turpentine or other petroleum distillates are used to replace turpentine, but they are very different chemically. industrial and other end uses solvent: the two primary uses of turpentine in industry are as a solvent and as a source of materials for organic synthesis. As a solvent, turpentine is used for thinning oil-based paints, for producing varnishes, and as a raw material for the chemical industry. turpentine has long been used as a solvent, mixed with beeswax or with carnauba wax, to make fine furniture wax for use as a protective coating over oiled wood finishes (e.g., lemon oil). source of organic compounds turpentine is also used as a source of raw materials in the synthesis of fragrant chemical compounds. Commercially used camphor, linalool, alpha-terpineol, and geraniol are all usually produced from alpha-pinene and beta-pinene, which are two of the chief chemical components of turpentine. These pinenes are separated and purified by distillation. The mixture of diterpenes and triterpenes that is left as residue after turpentine distillation is sold as rosin. medicinal elixir turpentine and petroleum distillates such as coal oil and kerosene have been used medicinally since ancient times, as topical and sometimes internal home remedies. Topically it has been used for abrasions and wounds, as a treatment for lice, and when mixed with animal fat it has been used as a chest rub, or inhaler for nasal and throat ailments. Many modern chest rubs, such as the vicks variety, still contain turpentine in their formulations. Taken internally it was used as treatment for intestinal parasites because of its alleged antiseptic and diuretic properties, and a general cure-all as in hamlin's wizard oil. Sugar, molasses or honey were sometimes used to mask the taste. Internal administration of these toxic products is no longer common today. Turpentine was a common medicine among seamen during the age of discovery, and one of several products carried aboard ferdinand magellan's fleet in his first circumnavigation of the globe. niche uses turpentine is also added to many cleaning and sanitary products due to its antiseptic properties and its "clean scent". In early 19th-century america, turpentine was sometimes burned in lamps as a cheap alternative to whale oil. It was most commonly used for outdoor lighting, due to its strong odor. A blend of ethanol and turpentine added as an illuminant called burning fluid was also important for several decades. In 1946, soichiro honda used turpentine as a fuel for the first honda motorcycles as gasoline was almost totally unavailable following world war ii. Turpentine was a common additive in cheap gin until the 20th century and gave it its characteristic juniper berry flavor without the need for pricier distillations with aromatic spices and berries.
