Mahindra Steel Service Centre Limited’s facility at Kanhe (near Pune) processes Cold Rolled, Hot Rolled and Cold Rolled Grain Oriented steel for automotive applications and transformers. MSSCL’s Plant - I was the first steel service centre in the organised sector in India to be set up as an integrated facility catering to the automotive, home appliance and power sectors. This plant uses best – in – class manufacturing facilities for processing automotive as well as electrical steel with equipment sourced from Heinrich Georg GmbH Maschinenfabrik, Germany; Nittetsu Denji Corp., Japan and Esmech Pro eco, India. Strategically located in the industrial belt of Pune, the plant is ideally situated to cater to the processed steel requirements of auto OEMs, as well as major transformer manufacturers located in western and southern India.

This state-of-the-art electrical stamping facility located at Kanhe (near Pune) processes Cold Rolled Non-Grain Oriented Steel (CRNO), and semi processed CR steel, to cater to home appliance and electric motor industries. It is the first facility in the country to have a presence across the complete value chain from steel to stampings and offers to its customers top quality steel imported from overseas as well as from domestic steel mills, and has best–in–class manufacturing facilities for rotor and stator cores.

Automotive as well as electrical steel with equipment sourced from Heinrich Georg GmbH Maschinenfabrik, Germany; Nittetsu Denji Corp., Japan and Esmech Pro eco, India. The Cold rolled steel (CR CRCA) and Hot rolled steel (HR) for automotive skin panels is sourced from leading steel mills domestically as well as from overseas. The CRGO steel (Cold rolled grain oriented steel) for transformers is sourced from Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp. (NSSMC), Japan – the best in the world.
