Mahindra Tsubaki Conveyor Systems Private Limited

In 1992 as part of diversification, Mahindra Engineering and Chemical Products Ltd. (MECP) entered into technical collaboration agreement with Tsubakimoto Bulk Systems Corp., Japan to introduce high performance Chain Bucket Elevators and Chain Conveyors to Indian Cement Industry.

Over the years, MECP established a mark for itself as supplier of quality products and gained acceptance of large number of customers. MECP also expanded the product range to add Apron Feeders, Coal Feeders, Belt Bucket Elevators, Pan Conveyors and Belt Conveyors for Cement, Power and other process industries. MECP also started Unit Handling products in association with Tsubakimoto Chain Co., mainly as Tsubaki’s partners for supplies to Toyota Kirloskar Motor Co. Ltd.

In 2010, MECP business was transferred to a newly established company Mahindra Conveyor Systems Pvt. Ltd (MCS), which had equity participation from Tsubakimoto Bulk Systems Corp., Japan.

In 2011, MCS set up a brand new manufacturing plant at Pirangut, near Pune to cater to increasing demand. The company also introduced complete range of Unit Handling products for Automotive and other industries.

In July-2014, Tsubakimoto Chain Company, Japan acquired majority stake in MCS leading to formation of JV Company, Mahindra Tsubaki Conveyor Systems Pvt. Ltd. With formation of JV, the company looks forward to introduction of new technologies and products for the benefit of Indian customers and also seek supplies to Tsubaki customers in overseas markets.
