Armoured Instrumentation Cable

The Individually Aluminum Mylar Shielded Armored Instrumentation Cable is suited for preventing the sorting of adjacent shield and minimizes the cross talk and ground loops. A tinned copper drain wire is installed to provide continuous contact with the shield and allows for connection to ground. Tinning the drain wire reduces galvanic corrosion between drain and shield.

Screened Cables

The Screen acts as a Faraday cage to reduce electrical noise from affecting the signals, and to reduce electrostatic radiation that may interfere with other devices (see electrostatic interference).

The screen minimizes capacitive coupled noise from other electrical sources. The screen must be applied across cable splices. In screened signal cables the screen may act as the return path for the signal, or may act as screening only.

Application:-A Screen Cable is an electrical cable of one or more insulated conductors enclosed by a common conductive layer. The Screen may be composed of braided strands of copper or aluminum mylar tape, or a layer of conducting polymer. Usually, this screen is covered with a jacket.

Description:-The annealed tinned/bare Electrolytic high conductivity copper multi strand flexible conductor as per IS: 8130/1984 of class-5, PVC insulated as per IS: 5831/1984, cores twisted together, Melinex taped. Screen with aluminium mylar taped and ATC drain wire or screened with tinned copper braiding, overall PVC sheathed as per BS : 5308 (Part-2).
