Fired Heaters

The principle design of furnaces and fired heaters consists of a fire box with radiant coils, a convection zone for flue gas heat recovery, a stack, fan(s) and auxiliary components. The recovered flue gas heat is used for feed preheating or steam production. The flue gases leave the heater via stack to ambient air and fulfill local emission regulations. Spiral Welded Pipes

spiral-welded aluminium pipes at its Schalchen plant since 1976. The Group has produced over 1000 km of spiral welded pipes over the decades, delivering outstanding results for customers such as Siemens, ABB and CGIT. Lindes spiral-welded aluminium pipes can be used for a wide range of applications, including cryogenic processes, gas-insulated switch gears and transmission lines, and process engineering (gas treatment plants). The pipes are made from aluminium and a range of aluminium alloys. They can be up to 18 metres long, with diameters ranging from 273 to 1, 200 mm and wall thicknesses from 4 to 10 mm. This flexible portfolio means that Linde spiral welded pipes can be tailored to any industrial requirements.The pipes are manufactured using an optimized proprietary welding process that guarantees joint efficiency of V = 1.0. All materials are tested in line with the code requirements and individual customer specifications. In addition, our pipe surfaces are free of oil and grease, making them ideal for use with oxygen.

Demand for these rare gases is rising, however, as they play a vital role in many different industries. As the world's largest manufacturer of rare gas mixtures for incandescent, fluorescent, and high intensity discharge (HID) lamps, Linde Engineering has developed innovative processes that boost the capture of rare gases from secondary streams in tonnage-size air separation plants. KrXe:Our multi-step enrichment process produces krypton and xenon gas mixtures with typical purities of over 99.9 percent. In a first enrichment step the concentration of krypton and xenon in liquid oxygen (LOX) is increased to levels below 1% using cryogenic rectification.
