Braille : Grade 1 Braille consisting of raised domes of 1.5 to 1.6mm dia, and spacing in compliance with Braille standards given by GOI, integral with the sign face, raised 0.6 to 0.9mm above base plate.

The presence of a glass door should bemade apparent, with permanent manifestation at two levels, within 800mm to 1000 mm from the floor and within1400 mm to 1600 mm from the floor (Figure 5-24), contrasting visually with the background seen through the glass in all light conditions. The edges of a glass door should also be apparent when the door is open.

Note : If a glass door is adjacent to, or is incorporated within, a fully glazed wall the door and wall should be clearly differentiated from one another , with the door more prominent. To achieve this, the door may be framed on both sides and the top by an opaque high - contrast strip at least 25 mm wide.
