COMPENSATING CABLES
CONSTRUCTION:Compensating cable is having 2 cores of different metal wires, having characteristics similar to that of thermocouple with which it is intended to be used. *each core is electrically and thermally insulated individually. * Both core are further insulated or sheathed as per users specification.* each core of the cable of one or more wire as per users specification.
INSULATION:The compensating cable cores are insulated with (a) Flame-proof compounded High Temperature Cable fabric braiding over heat and moisture resistant double fibre glass covering, or (b) Polyvinyl-chloride (PVC) coating, or (c) Heat resistant coated double fibre glass covering, or (d)Any other type of suitable insulation as per uses specification e.g., etc. generally conforming to IS8784.
SHEATHING:(a) Flame-proof compounded High Temperature Cable Fabric braiding, or (b) Poly-vinyl-chloride (PVC) or /PTFE (c) Fibre glass with or without heat or moisture resistant coating or (d) Any other type as per user's specification.
SHIELDING:Plain or Tinned Braided copper wire shielding is provided. Alternatively it may be heat resistant aluminized polyester foil called mylar tape in parallel connection of one drain wire of tinned copper.
ARMOURING:The pattern selected depends upon whether protection is required against moisture (attracted by High Temperature Cable fibres), mechanical damage or both. A further decisive factor is how the Cables are run, fixed, trailing and in the former case whether surface run or laid in conduit. * Armouring is generally provided of galvanised steel wire. But any other suitable wire may be used as per users specification.
COLOUR MARK:The insulating sheaths have different colours to indicate the type of compensating leads. The positive pole is always coloured RED as per lS & WHITE as per B.S. negative BLUE Except in case of Fe/Const where positive is YELLOW. Any other colour code as per user's specification can be provided.
PACKING:Normal packing will be in running length of 100 Metres but could be made in running length up to one kilometre.
PTFE INSULATED HEAT PROOF CABLES
PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene)is a polymer material, well-known these days. It has outstanding electrical, thermal and chemical properties.The operating temperature of PTFE is from - 65C to 200C for silver plated and - 65C to 60C for Nickel plated wires. Type ET (250V AC RMS), Type E (600V AC, RMS)and Type EE (1000V AC RMS) are manufactured strictly as per the specification of JSS 51004.
ADVANTAGES:1. Excellent thermal stability - suitable for use for- 65"C to 260"C. (2) Suitable for very wide frequency range (D.C. to above 10, 000MHz) over wide temperature range. (3) Fire (flame) proof. (4) Inert to practically all chemicals even at elevated temperatures. (5) Smaller size, lighter weight and much higher reliability. (6) Lowest dielectric constant (2.1) dissipation factor (below .003) and highest volume and surface resistivities (in Teraohms). (7) Flex life - Excellent. (8) Non-contaminating. Non-toxic and bio-compatible. (9) Corona Resistance-Fair. (10) Cold-flow and cut through resistance - Fair, (good mechanical strength). (11) Resistance to ultra violet radiation and stress cracking-Excellent. (12) Soldering iron resistant and suitable for high density wiring. (13) Resistant to fungus and mould growth.

FOR CONNECTING TRANSFORMER BUSBAR AND MELTING ELECTRODES MULTILAYERS STRANDED ANNEALED BRIGHT BARE COPPER ELECTROLYTIC WIRES INSULATED WITH POLYESTER TAPES VARNISHED CAMBRIC DOUBLE INSULATION having effective thickness of 20 mils duly impregnated with highly polymerised thermosetting varnish suitable to withstand 400 volts. OVERALL ASBESTOS BRAIDED WITH HEAT PROOF FLAME PROOF BLACK COMPOUNDED EFFECTING OVERALL STRENGTH OF ASBESTOS AS HARD & AS FLEXIBLE TO SUIT TRAILING AND HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS GENERALLY MANUFACTURED IN 400 SQ. MM. CROSS SECTIONAL AREA ANY OTHER SIZE AS PER CUSTOMER'S DESIGN MAY BE FABRICATED.
