We offer USTL232 – A USB to TTL Serial Converter for direct connection of Micro Controller UART pins to a PC's USB port USTL232 converter is used to directly interface the UART pins of micro controllers at TTL levels to the USB port of a PC without the need for any level converters. It supports RTSCTS based handshake. The UART signals of USTL232 are brought out on to a 9 pin D type male connector. AVRZIF - A ZIF Socket Module for serial programming of 4028 pin AVR DIP Controller ICs AVRZIF module is used along with an AVR SPI based serial programmer. It has a 40 pin ZIF socket and associated circuits for convenient mounting of AVR controllers during serial programming. Since all 40 pin and 28 pin AVRs do not have pin outs matching with Atmega16 and Atmega8 respectively, it is important to confirm the matching of the pin outs with these devices before plugging a device into the ZIF socket. The 28 pin devices to be programmed is plugged into the 40 pin socket with their pin 1 matching with pin 4 of the 40 pin socket. Following AVR DIP controllers are compatible with this module: Atmega8, Mega16, Mega32, Mega48, Mega88, Mega164, Mega168, Mega324, Mega325, Mega328, Mega644 and Mega 8535.

There are different choices available for drivers and application software. Being an open source design, the customer is free to choose any device driver or application package to suite his requirements or system environment. Even the firmware supplied with USBasp can be replaced by another new firmware, if required, to get the latest features available.
