LEI cartridge heaters provide excellent heat transfer and are normally sheathed in Brass or Stainless Steel tubes. These heaters are designed for push fit into holes of nominal diameters. They are used for heating Dies, Molds, Platens and various other applications demanding localized heating.

LEI Cartridge heaters are available in 2 Types:

• Low and Medium Density Cartridge Heaters.
• High Density (Swaged) Cartridge Heaters.

Ceramic Infrared Heaters.
The Lakshmiheaters Ceramic infrared heaters consist of a ceramic body, which is filled with highly efficient heat insulation material. The heating coil is burnt into the ribs of the radiation area.

The high quality heat insulation ceramic material introduced into the backside of the radiation element reduces the temperature in the wiring space.

Heat loss on Non-radiant side is very little due to special design of ceramic layers.

Crystal clear white or yellow glazing is done to help good radiation and the elements emit energy in the range of 5-10 UM.

By using life prolonger in Ceramics, Element life is increased.

The heat up curves for radiation elements with various power rating is shown in the diagram.

The Elements are designed to withstand sudden voltage fluctuations.

Ceramic Refractory insulated Strip heaters are sheathed in rust-resistance steel or in stainless steel sheath as it provide physical strength and good thermal conductivity. Specially selected and designed ceramic insulator houses the resistance wire insulating it from the outer sheath. Finned strip heaters are used for both forced (mounted in ducts) and natural convection air heating (mounted at the bottom of cabinet type oven). The fins provide maximum surface contact for good heat dissipation into the finned cross section thus resulting in rapid heat transfer to the air.

Sheathing: This type of heaters has quartz silica tube closed from bottom. Bobbin heaters are inserted through the tube and terminal wires are mounted on the top and encased in a Rubber cap for Electrical safety. It issuitable for vertical installationonly.

Medium Wave Infrared (Quartz) Heaters consist of a helically wound resistance coil housed in a pure vitreous silica fused quartz tube. The Quartz tubing is terminated with specially designed insulating caps, which are securely fastened to the quartz tube with high temperature cement providing excellent support to the power connecting termination. Quartz Heaters are designed to be used in a horizontal position only. Quartz Heaters are available in various diameters like 8, 10, 12, 15, 19 mm & length 300 to 1500 mm.
