The pipeline system comprises of flow lines/infield pipelines, trunk lines, sales gas/condensate and block valve stations. KSM provides a full range of pipeline pre-commissioning, commissioning, de-commissioning and umbilical activities to the oil, gas & petrochemicals industries.

Penetration Grade bitumens are specified by the penetration and softening point test. Designation is by penetration range only. The penetration grade bitumens have a thermoplastic property which causes the material to soften at high temperatures and to harden at lower temperatures. This unique temperature/viscosity relationship is important when determining the performance parameters such as the adhesion, rheology, durability and application temperatures of bitumen.

Fully computerized and plc controlled test unit capable Of building pressure up to 30, 000 psi by using two air driven pumps , one for quick filling and the other to build up pressure to the test value.
Hot Oil Flushing
As well as cleaning system pipework, there is sometimes a requirement to clean fluids which are used in the control or operation of a system such as hydraulic oil, lubrication oil or control fluid systems. Hydraulic Flushing can be applied to various systems where there is a requirement to maintain a level of cleanliness. The flushing can be carried out as part of the system commissioning or during routine or shutdown maintenance. The flushing operation removes debris from the system leaving it within the required cleanliness limits. Often the fluid is heated to improve the rheological properties which makes the flushing and filtration easier.
Commissioning Leak Test (CLT)
Helium Leak Detection is used as a final commissioning test to provide operator confidence in the safety and environmental integrity of new and existing processing facilities. The Helium leak test is then carried out by injection the 1% Helium and 99% Nitrogen test gas mixture into the system in controlled pressure stages until the test pressure is reached. The recommended test pressure is the maximum allowable working pressure or up to 95% of relief valve set pressure. Features Finds all leaks, thus avoiding explosive mixtures in the atmosphere. Simulates live conditions using safe, inert and environmentally friendly test gas. System dewatered using dry nitrogen. Prevents explosive conditions by reducing Oxygen concentration. The Nitrogen/Helium gas mixture simulates the characteristics of a hydrocarbon gas leak. All instruments and components can be function tested before start-Up. System under test can be protected from overpressure. Ultrasonic valve integrity testing of valve seats. Testing under vacuum or positive pressure conditions. Equipment suitable for hazardous area operation.
Nitrogen Purging
The purging process can be used to displace, toxic gasses, hydrocarbons or oxygen, dependant on the requirement. Process systems which have been in service can contain toxic or hydrocarbon laden atmospheres. In order to carry out maintenance work on these systems it is imperative to displace these hydrocarbons or toxins prior to breaking containment. Similarly, once maintenance or construction is complete, it may be a requirement to displace oxygen prior to the introduction of hydrocarbons.
