Milk Cooling Tank

When dealing with a perishable product like milk, it becomes vital to collect it in a way that preserves the life of the milk without losing out on the nutritional value of the product. It also becomes imperative to ensure that the equipment used to cool the milk are made in a way that wont contaminate it as well as preserve nutritional value.

Milk from cows comes with a lot of bacteria in it and though some of it is good bacteria, sale a lot of it can be very harmful to the human body and might contain environmental pathogens that are transferred from cow feed to the milk. In order to ensure that any harmful bacterium is eliminated from milk, it is put through a process called pasteurization. Pasteurization is the process by which liquids are heated to kill most of the bacteria that causes them to spoil. The goal is not to kill all the micro-organisms present in the liquids as they are still micro-organisms that are good for you. Milk needs to be pasteurized to keep it from spoiling. After milk has been heated, it needs to be cooled down to begin the process of preserving the milk for use later on. Once the milk is cooled down to the right temperature, it can be suitably stored in other containers to be transported where it is required. To get the milk cooler, dairy farmers us a milk cooling tank to get down to the right temperature. Some farmers wont use a milk cooling tank and instead rely on their own milk cooling system.

Krishna Allied Industries has a few options for bulk milk cooling tanks where they can be either manual or with automization. There are different milk tanks available to fit the volume requirements of small, medium and large dairy producers. The tanks designs come in an open type vertical, horizontal and closed cylindrical type to be comfortable with space constraints that dairy producers might have to deal with. Our milk cooling systems have a few features that were incorporated with the ease of the dairy producer in mind. We know that we feel more comfortable about any milk producer if they are dedicated to keeping their milk coolers clean. The milk cooling tanks available come with smooth inner services to make it easy to clean. The legs of the tanks are adjustable so that even uneven surfaces will still offer an even weight distribution. The dip sticks used in a Krishna Allied Industries milk cooler is computer calibrated with an accuracy of 0.1%. Manholes and stainless steel ladders are provided for closed type tanks to ensure safe access during inspection.

There are more features to our milk cooling tanks which are mentioned in our product brochure. Look at the brochure for a full list of features with illustrations to explain how Krishna Allied Industries milk cooling tanks work.

Heat Recovery Unit

Bulk Milk Coolers (BMC) are used for chilling the milk at the milk collection centers. After completing the chilling cycle, it is essential to clean the BMC and other milk equipments with hot water.

Required water is heated by using gas geysers or by using the electrical heaters. The findings from survey of dairy industry reveal that every month 600 kWh of additional energy is required for heating water at one milk collection center. At the national level this quantity of energy consumed is very large which cannot be simply neglected. This additional energy consumed for water heating is completely saved by using Heat Recovery Unit (HRU).

It is advised to use the heat recovery system wherever possible to increase the energy efficiency of the refrigeration system.

Solar Powered Milk Cooling Tank

  1. When it comes to renewable energy, nothing can beat the sun. It has an expected lifespan of another 5 billion years. Yet, the sun and its solar power remain underutilized in many parts of India and most parts of the world. Too much electricity comes from sources that pollute the earth with harmful byproducts. Every day, there are scientists working on increasing the amount of power that solar panels trap from the sun and battery technology is also advancing by leaps and bounds to creates sources of power that are green and require a one-time investment and some occasional maintenance in the future as opposed to paying a company steadily month-on-month for the electricity provided to you.

One of the biggest obstacles to regularly using solar power to run appliances and equipment is the weather. In a tropical country where the sky is filled with rain and clouds, it becomes difficult to fully harness the sun for all the things that need electricity. This is why the design of our milk vat solar powered milk cooler is designed to use the suns energy as well as take electricity from the grid. Both power sources actually charge a batter which powers the cooling of the milk in the solar bulk milk cooler.

The milk vat solar powered milk cooler uses a multi-point power tracking module that does the job of effectively cooling milk down without losing power on this open vertical type of solar bulk cooler. The battery backup is 6 hours. It comes with under and over voltage protection. Its even designed to be protected from lightning. The LED display on this piece of equipment also gives you a visual indication of any faults going wrong with the machine or the process. If anything does go wrong, the whole system is equipped with an emergency stop switch that should prevent any faults produced while the machine is one.

Still, solar power is a great choice for those who want a greener planet with renewable energy that gives no waste by-products. Look at the brochure for more details about the features and technical specifications of a solar bulk milk cooler.

Stainless Steel Milk Can

When dealing with a perishable product like milk, it becomes vital to collect it in a way that preserves the life of the milk without losing out on the nutritional value of the product. It becomes imperative to ensure that the materials used to contain the milk are made in a way that wont contaminate it as well as preserve nutritional value. At Krishna Allied Industries, we have made stainless steel milk cans from food grade stainless steel which has a higher strength: weight ratio than any other normally used material.

It has great tensile strength, yield point, ductility and hardness. A large part of the manufacturing process also went towards ensuring longer operational durability with a lower maintenance cost. The surface was designed with a 150 grit sanitary finish giving each of the milk cans a polished surface for easy and hygienic cleaning. The stainless steel milk can used also keeps the milk cooler for a longer time.
