Super Duplex is stainless steel mainly used in oil and gas industries. Super Duplex alloys are characterised by a high chromium and molybdenum content. This provides high tensile strength which helps it to have a better resistance to corrosion, cracking as well as erosion, and having a high thermal conductivity and a low thermal expansion than conventional austenitic stainless steels. The high chromium and molybdenum content gives Super Duplex Steel a high resistance to acids that prevents it from pitting and crevice corrosion.

Tube is available in cold worked annealed [CWA] condition. In both conditions the weld area is subject to a mechanical forging process for grain refinement.
