What is FIG
The fig known as Anjir in Hindi and in English we called fig is the edible fruit mostly which found country like Egypt, Turkey, India, Morocco, spain, Italy, Greece, California & Brazil of ficus carica, a species of small tree in the flowering plant family Moraceae. Native to the Mediterranean and western Asia, it has been cultivated since ancient times and now widely grown throughout the world, both for its fruit and as an ornamental plant. Ficus carica is the type species of the genus Ficus, containing over 800 tropical and subtropical plant species. The edible fig is one of the first plants that were cultivated by humans. The fig precedes the domestication of wheat, barley, and legumes, and may thus be the first known instance of agriculture. It is proposed that this sterile but desirable type was planted and cultivated intentionally, one thousand years before the next crops were domesticated.
We are producing the cultivation of yellow fig –One of the most delicious and nutritious varieties of figs in the world on a large scale in the state of western Rajasthan. It is being cultivated in the Thar Desert for the first time. Due to long summers the yield is excellent in desert. We work with farmers to make them self reliant and aware about organic farming. The fig crop is helping farmers to grow their income and make them prosperous.
