After harvesting, the raw lac is processed to produce dry shellac flakes. Dry flakes are dissolved in alcohol to produce liquid shellac. Then the liquid shellac can be used as a food glaze, brush-on colorant, for wood finishes, manicures, etc. Shellac generally functions as a tough sanding sealant, natural primer, tannin-blocker, high-gloss varnish, and odor-blocker.   At Khan Enterprise, we procure authentic products from recognized vendors of the market.
