Kasthuri Machine Builders manufactures SPMDeep hole Drilling machinewith maximum capacity of 10mm X a depth of 150mm with multiple spindles. Normally for a deep hole drilling it takes long time to drill the component, our basic idea is to drill more than 2 or 4 components at the same time of drilling / machining. The whole head moves on LM guide ways for the movement accuracy. The drilling head drive is given through servo motors like CNC machines or VMC machines. The spindles of this machine are direct driven with timer pulley by AC induction motor. So the power loss in this machine is also saved.
As the deep hole drilling machine has only one axis the machine movement is controlled through PLC (Programmable Logical Control) and controlled through the MMI (Man & Machine Interface). We can control the movement of the drilling head by input the data's in the MMI with a semi skilled operator.
In the deep hole drilling machine, the feed, No. of peck cycles and the RPM ranges also varied. The multiple spindle in this machine will also improve the production. This is great advantage in this deep hole drilling machine is where you can replace the CNC machine and VMC machine, if you are using the machine only for drilling purpose.

This machine is used to drill in various PCD named as Variable Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD), PCD from 0 mm to 1200 mm (47") and drill size maximum to 32mm (1 1/4"). Components like flanges, Brake drums, motor end covers, Valve bodies, and disc brakes etc. Which has small and medium batch quantity can be done very cost effectively.
Through our experiences in the market, we found people are using expensive VMC for these operations. There are components in small and medium batch quantities. Lot of companies are facing problem on delivering components on time. They are using expensive VMC and very high skilled labor to meet target, finally they spend more money and the production cost goes up very high. All this will be replaced by this low cast machine. An unskilled labor can also start working in 2 or 3days training. Thus, you can cut down the cost by 30 - 50% approximately.
Same as all VMC, this machine head fixed in vertical column, which has up and down Z-axis movement through LM guide ways with Ball Screws with single spindle.
The slide is fixed in the base for X-axis movement. Hydraulic Indexing Table is mounted in the slide. The slide movement towards and away from the column generates X-axis. With the Digital Read out (DRO), the PCD can be varied as required very easily.
