This style of fin is commonly referred to as "Square Fin" or "Plate Fin". Although any shape is possible square and round are the norm. The fin is attached to the tube in our Automatic Controlled Atmospheric Brazing Furnace.

Kasera Fin Tube's brazed finned tubes offer an alternative to welded fins for applications requiring smaller O.D. or thinner wall tubes with a strong fin to tube bond. The fin material is edge wound on to the tube and then furnace brazed, Making it ideal for rigorous, high-temperature applications. When the tube expands or shrinks due to temperature changes, the brazed bond never relaxes its grip. Kasera Fin Tube offers brazed finned tubing in similar or dissimilar metals for increased heat transfer efficiency. Kasera Fin Tube's brazed finned tubes have external surface area for heat transfer. Brazed Finned Tubes are commonly used in applications with metal temperatures up to 380 C, and with special coating, 800 C.

Kasera Fin Tube's solder dipped bonded finned tubes are edge tension wound to assure proper fin to tube contact before the solder is applied. Root soldering involves a special Kasera Fin Tube that uses enough solder to create the bond between the tube and the base of the fin thus avoiding bridging. Solder-coated finned tubing covers the entire fin and tube surface with the alloy. Lead-free and tin-lead alloys are available for all soldered products.The soldering process creates a fin attachment that is ideal for forming or bending. Root Solder Finned Tubes

Kasera Fin Tube's root solder finned tubes are edge tension wound in the same manner as the solder dipped fin tube. The soldering process utilizes enough solder to bond the base of the fin to the tube. This leaves most of the fin surface clean of any solder coating, which may impede heat transfer capabilities. Kasera Fin Tube's root solder finned tubes have external surface area for heat transfer. Root solder finned tubes are commonly used in applications with temperatures ranging from -160 degrees C to +250 degrees C.

Kasera Fin Tube offers Embedded Fin Tubes for solutions where higher temperatures, continuous thermal cycling and tube vibration due to high velocity air streams can cause failures. The fin is mechanically embedded into a groove that is plowed in the tube O.D. and is locked into place by rolls that force the groove to tightly close around the fin base.
