About Kanpur
The largest city of Uttar Pradesh state, Kanpur is spread over an area of 605 km2 with a population of over 5.03 million inhabitants. It is believed that the name of the city is derived from ‘Karnapur’, which means the town of ‘Karna’. Plus, it is also believed that Kanpur was settled by an ancient Hindu king namely, Kanhpur.
