KATS - Fire Suppression System, fire is detected through Fire Detection Tube (FDT) assembly. KATS (Electrical Panel Flooding Systems)is very useful in confined spaces when human is unable to extinguish the fire & quick operation is required. As soon as the fire ignited, the FDT senses the fire & Actuate the valve & releases the Extinguishing Agent.
The KATS system is a Automatic Triggering Self actuating system that is designed for localized fire suppression. The system works by using pressurized Fire detection tubing that is installed throughout the risk area. This tubing is heat sensitive and when subjected to a temperature above 110 Degrees centigrade, or when touched by flame, the tubing will rupture and form a diffuser.
The extinguishing agent is then deployed via this nozzle directly into the heart of the fire. The KATS Fire Suppression system requires no external power source or separate detectors and owing to its simple design ensures that all of the extinguishing agent is always deployed in the Fire area. The system can be fitted with a volt free single pressure switch which when connected to the cylinder not only provides constant monitoring of the system but can also send a signal to indicate a discharge via a Self contained Alarm Hooter main panel.Applicable Areas :
KANEX AFFF FoamFire Extinguishersprovide a fast, powerful means of tackling flammable liquids. The foam forms a seal over the surface to prevent re-ignition. Ideal for multi-risk usage and also applicable against Class A hazards such as wood, cloth, trash, and other materials that leave an ash.
AFFF is Aqueous Film Forming Foam concentrate, produces thin, yet strong film on the surface of hydrocarbon fuels thereby sealing the fuel surface and preventing fuel vapor release. Due to presence of Fluorocarbon surfactant the spreading characteristic of the foam is such that a positive, fast spreading coverage action takes over the fuel surface, resulting fast extinguishment. The synthetic base imparts good shelf life of the concentrate free from settling ingredients and bad odor.
KANEX Water Stored Pressure Fire Extinguishers are designed to suppress fires in Class A combustibles like wood, cloth, trash and other materials that leave an ash. These kinds of hazards are often found in office environments and some industrial locations, as well as warehouse and oxidizing chemical storage areas.

Principle of Operation:F Class Kitchen Extinguishers work on the principle of saponification. Saponification takes place when alkaline mixture such as wet chemical (Mixture of potassium acetate, potassium citrate, or potassium carbonate) is applied to burning Oil or fat, the wet chemical combined with the fatty acid creates a soapy foam layer on the surface which holds in the vapors and steam and extinguishes the fire.Why cant we use Multipurpose ABC Fire Extinguishers rather Kitchen Fire Extinguishers (Wet Chemical)?

As we know Vegetable oils have a much higher auto ignition temperature than animal fats because of this Heat breaks down the weaker foam layer created and re ignition takes place.
