Directions for Use :

• Method
  • On a cleaned and prepared surface apply Sealtite bonding slurry.
  • Apply Sealtite modified mortar by float or trowel to form an uniform smooth surface.
  • Bonding slurry sets very fast hence modified mortar application should be fast and immediately after application of bonding slurry.
  • Moist cure for 24 hours and then allow it to dry off.

• Preparation - Bonding Slurry = Cement + Sealtite  1 + 1

Note : Applied bonding slurry sets very fast. 1 LTR Sealtite with 1 kg of cement gives aslurry which covers 25 to 30 sq/ft. on smooth even surface.

 

Typical Applications :

• Corrosion Repairs of  Beams, Columns and Slabs
  • Remove the cover concrete and cutback to the sound concrete zone.
  • Remove all the rust from the reinforcement by mechanical means.
  • Apply one coat of Sealtite bonding slurry on the reinforcement and the surrounding concrete surface.
  • When the bonding slurry is still tacky apply modified mortar by pressing in position using 10  litre Sealtite  per 50kg bag of cement. Modified mortar can be applied upto a thickness of  20mm. For building up to higher thickness leave the first layer to dry overnight and apply second layer with one more coat of bonding slurry.
  • Moist cure for 24 hours and allow it to dry off.

•  Industrial Floor or Floor Duct Nosing Repair
  • Cutback to sound concrete surface and make the surface wet.
  • Apply the bonding slurry and when it is still wet apply the Sealtite modified mortar using 10     litre of Sealtite per 50 Kg bag of cement
  • Feather edge to match the original floor level. In case of nosing carefully build up the edge and give a smooth finish.
  • Moist cure for 24 hours and allow it to dry off.

• Bonding old Concrete to New Concrete:
  • Vertical Joint - Apply Sealtite bonding slurry on the prepared wet old concrete vertical surface and pour the concrete.
  • Horizontal joint - Pour and spread Sealtite bonding slurry on the wet old concrete surface to a thickness of 3.5 mm and pour fresh concrete.

• Plaster & Screed Mortars
  • Sealtite is admixed at a dosage of 2 litres per 50 kg bag of cement to improve properties of general plaster and screed free from shrinkage crack and for achieving higher compressive and tensile strength.
  • Screeds over water proofing membranes and patch up repairs before application of water proofing membranes are done with Sealtite admixed mortars.

Surface Preparation : All surfaces should be sound, clean and free of contaminants. Absorbent surfaces e.g. concrete should preferably be dampened with water. In kitchens, toilets and other wet areas all the openings should be properly sealed. On all weak points such as cracks or around the pipes use a woven fibreglass mesh as reinforcement between the two coats of Kamicryl Elastofalt.

Application :

• Kamicryl Elastofalt can be applied by brush, roller or squeegee. Hot, dry or very porous substrate should be dampened with clean water prior to application of Kamicryl Elastofalt. When two or more coats are required, ensure that the preceding coat is fully dry before applying the successive coat, which should be applied at right angle to proceeding coat.
• Kamicryl Elastofalt also acts as a non-degradable curing membrane; hence it may be applied immediately after the removal of mould, to the concrete structure, which has no aesthetic value such as the sub structure of the building.

 

Layer Thickness : 1.5 mm. For higher performance Glass Fibre reinforcement can be applied between 2 coats of Kamicryl Elastofalt.Packing 200 kg drum.

Storage/Shelf life : Keep away from direct sunlight and store under normal warehouse conditions. Container must be tightly closed. Shelf life of the product is 12 months from the date of manufacturing provided it is stored in unopened factory packed drums

Cleaning : Tools may be cleaned with water as long as the product is wet. Once dry, by mechanical means only.

Health and Safety : Use normal safety precautions. Wear rubber hand gloves, safety shoes and safety goggles while using and handling the product. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact with eyes, wash with plenty of water and seek medical treatment immediately.
