We at kamdhenu foods understanding the attributes of solar dehydration started its experiments and research & development in the year 2002 with a small natural draft dehydration unit of only 16 trays. In which we learnt a great deal of lessons and felt ourselves at the door step of a whole new dimension and a different world. We then tried to fuse this technology with a little innovation, but at the beginning we failed. Then later with the introduction of a new cabinet type solar drier of 64 trays we could see ourselves entering the door of a new galaxy of food industry.
by the end of 2002 we had then already been through vegetables, fruits, herbs, medicinal plants & spices. Hence our first baby comes up in the form of the roof top – 1. The pioneer in the indian food industry. A large dehydration unit with energy receivers (solar panels) as its roof and 500 trays as input. It showed us miracles that we had never imagined. Delivering the ever so awaited results in innovative health snacks, food supplements and dehydrated vegetables our process had started to grow with the help of mouth to mouth publicity we went to catering all sorts of customers. From unorganized wholesale market, to exports, to organized channelized retail market to job working, we had done it all and seen it all.
