The Well Sounder 2010 PRO is a sonic water level meter, designed and manufactured by Eno Scientific, to measure static water level in wells. This portable handheld unit uses sound waves to measure the distance from the top of the well to the water level. If the sound is traveling in the direction of the wind, then the transit time is decreased. If the sound is traveling in a direction opposite the wind, then the transit time is increased. The wind sensor has no moving parts, which makes it maintenance free. The measurement range for wind speed is from 0 to 112 mph (0 to 50 ms) and for wind direction from 0 to 360.Barometric Pressure, Temperature, and Humidity Module : Barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity sensors are housed in a powder-coated metal radiation shield. Barometric pressure is measured with a stable transducer using nano-technology, yielding a linear and repeatable sensor with low hysteresis. The piezoresistive pressure sensor module is mounted on a small electronic circuit board. A micro controller controls the operation of the sensor and the data interface. The micro controller polls the pressure sensor module once per second for the barometric and ambient temperature. The raw readings are temperature corrected by the micro controller. Fluxgate Compass: The internal compass module is low power and compact. It employs a pair of magneto-inductive sensors which change inductance with varying magnetic field strengths, to sense the Earth's magnetic field. The microprocessor measures the output of the internal compass and then corrects wind direction data for the orientation of the sensor. The output of the wind direction is relative to magnetic north. A user-programmable value of magnetic declination may be entered through terminal mode to enable output relative to True north rather than magnetic north.

BOD OxiDirect

Respirometric methods provide direct measurement of the oxygen consumed by microorganisms from an air or oxygen-enriched environment in a closed vessel under conditions of constant temperature and agitation. Carbon dioxide produced metabolically by the bacteria is chemically bound by the potassium hydroxide solution contained in the seal cup in the bottle.

The result is a pressure drop in the system, which is directly proportional to the BOD value and is measured by the Lovibond BOD sensor. The BOD level is then displayed directly in mg/l. The BOD values are stored in the sensor memory and can be called up on the large-format display at any time without the need for time-consuming conversion using factors. This means that test series that end on a Sunday can be evaluated during the following week without any problem.

The measurement period is user-selectable between 1 and 28 days to suit the application. While short measurement periods are useful for scientific applications, standard BOD measurements typically extend over a period of 5 days and manometric determination of OECD, for example, generally takes place over a period of 28 days.

High Volume Lead Sampler

High Vol Plus TSP high volume Lead Sampler And High Volume Air Sampler : This instrument is recommend by the EPA for measuring air quality standards. Reference Document 40 CRF Part 50 Appendix B. The HI-VOL+ eliminates the need for lengthy calculations during calibration by offering an auto calibration features which requires the user to simply input the calibration factors and the system does the rest. The user must select a flow rate and the unit uses the temperature and barometric pressure to maintain that flow rate with greater than 99% accuracy. The HI-VOL+ also uses a digital timer which allows the user to set their sampling schedule only once and the system will repeat sampling events as frequently as required. The system has several data logs including and interval log, timer log, power log, and calibration log. The data interval feature logs temperature, barometric pressure, and flow rate every 5 minutes eliminating the need for a chart recorder. The timer log shows each scheduled event and records avg, min, and max temperature, epa standard flow rate, ambient flow rate, and barometric pressure.

The HI-VOL+ also utilizes an SD media card reader for data transfer and system updates without the need of a laptop being brought into the field. All data logs are stored in a csv file format which allows the file to be viewed on most spreadsheet programs including MS excel and spreadsheet. The HI-VOL+ is a low maintenance system which eliminates the need to replace consumable goods typical with other TSP samplers.
