Used correctly ke is very effective.Used to attach fixation pin to connecting bar, the single clamp is the key element of any external fixation frame.Its size will dictate the size of the fixation pin and the size of the connecting bar.The greater the diameter of the connecting bar and the greater the number of connecting bars, the stronger the apparatus.As a guide, we would suggest small clamps for up to 5kgs, medium clamps for 5 - 30kgs, and large clamps or multiple medium frames for over 30kgs.Each clamp will accept a variety of pins.The pin size indicated is the largest possible. Smaller pins will also work although the fixation is not quite as rigid. E.g.
