V Blocks

JASH V-Blocks are widely used in Workshops , Tool Rooms & Standard Rooms for variety of application in Tooling and Inspection purposes such as marking accurate Centers, checking concentricity, parallelism etc. The V-Blocks are typically used to hold round metal rods or pipes for performing drilling or milling operations. Screw clamps are also available and are provided upon request. Thus, the V-Blocks can be used for workholding as well as for inspection.

Apart from the standard V-Block configuration, we also offer custom V-Blocks and Magnetic V-blocks. The magnetic blocks have internal magnets and are useful for securely holding work pieces for inspection and light cutting operations. They can also be used for marking of round objects and measuring to different shapes. Salient Features
  • C.I. Universal V-Blocks, C. I. Plain V-Blocks and C. I. Elongated V-Blocks are made from close grained C.I. castings conforming to Grade FG-220 of IS-210, offered duly hand scraped finish.
  • Universal and Elongated V-Blocks are generally conforming to IS-4960 and Plain V-Blocks are generally conforming to IS-2949.
  • Steel V-Blocks are made from hardened and ground alloy steel having hardness 55 to 60 HRC, generally conforming to IS-2949 available in Grade-A accuracy having included angle 90 deg +/- 5'.
  • Granite V-Blocks made from good quality Granite, working faces offered duly finely lapped finish having included angle 90 deg +/- 5'.
  • Clamps offered for Plain V-Blocks (Cast Iron, Hardened & Ground and Granite V-Blocks) on request.
  • Magnetic V-Blocks and other non-standard sizes on request.

Granite Surface Plate

JASH Granite Surface Plates are used for precision gauging, inspection, layout and marking purposes. They are preferred by Precision Tool Rooms, Engineering Industries and Research Laboratories because of their following outstanding advantages.

No rust, no corrosion, relatively warp-free, no compensating hump when nicked, longer wear, smoother action, greater precision, non-magnetic, less care after commissioning, lower co-efficient of thermal expansion and non-glaring surface. These features make JASH one of the best granite surface plate manufacturers in the industry.

Salient Features
  • Made from close grained Granite having uniform color and texture having hardness 5.6 to 7 on Moh's scale, free from flaws, fissures and large inclusions of softer minerals.
  • Made generally as per IS-7327. Also available on request conforming to DIN-876, BS-817, JIS -B-7513 and US Federal specification GGG-P-463-C.
  • Metalic threaded inserts, Metalic T-slots, Plates with two or four ledges can also be supplied against specific request at extra cost.
  • Rexine cover provided for top working surface with standard size plates.
  • Fabricated Frame / Cupboard type / Cast Iron column type stand with leveling screws are available on request at extra cost.
  • Active and Passive air mounts are offered upon request, at extra costs.
  • Granite Lapping Plates square and rectangular available on request.

Surface Plates / Tables

JASH C.I. Surface Plates and Tables serve as a precision reference base for inspection, tool making, gauging, spotting marking and layout operations. Granite or Cast Iron Surface Plates are supported on suitable stand called Surface Tables Stands enable proper levelling of plate and also provide the top surface at a convenient working height of approx. 850 to 900 mm from the floor.The adherence to high quality standards and precise configurations makes JASH a leading surface plate manufacturer and supplier in the industry and one of the best Cast Iron and Granite surface plate manufacturers globally.

Salient Features
  • Made generally as per IS: 2285.
  • Made from close grained plain cast iron conforming to Grade FG:220 of IS: 210 (equivalent to GG20/ FT20 / 30-A). Higher grades also offered on request.
  • Castings stress relieved to relieve internal stresses.
  • Sizes upto 2000 x 1000 mm offered in four Grades of flatness accuracies viz Grades 0, 1, 2 & 3 as stated in table.
  • Hand scraped surface finish for Grades 0, 1 and 2 flatness accuracies & smooth machined / rough ground / scraped surface finish for Grade 3 flatness accuracies.
  • Rigidity requirements as per IS: 2285 ensured in case of Surface Plates of Grades 0, 1 and 2 only.
  • Flatness determination done by grid method as per clause 4.3.1 of IS: 12937 Indian standards on Engineering Metrology "Methods of Testing Straightness, Flatness and Perpendicularity".
  • Flatness accuracy checked by Electronic level. Computer print out of the contour of top working surface is furnished.
  • Plates up to 630 x 630 mm provided with handles for lifting. Larger plates provided with cored holes in peripheral ribbing for lifting by mechanical means.
  • Column type C. I. Floor stands or M.S. Fabricated stands with leveling screws supplied at extra charge, if required.
  • Special features like grid slots for location, tapped holes and T-slots can be provided on working surface, if required.
