Prosilk sutures are non-absorbable, coated and braided, sterile surgical sutures, most widely used having smooth flow through tissue while maintaining knot security. Silk sutures are composed of natural material silk which is obtained from silk worm. It does not swell in tissue fluids. Silk thread is serum proof and water repellent. Silk sutures not indicated for use in biliary and urinary tract surgery.

Polydioxanone sutures are the strongest available synthetic absorbable sutures for extended wound support. Smooth, pliable and with least memory. Its dark blue color imparts enhanced visibility. Its monofilament structure provides good handling properties and excellent knot security.

GUTPRO Catgut sutures are natural, absorbable, sterile surgical sutures for short-medium term wound support with exceptional strength. Catgut sutures are most widely used in the surgery, obtained by longitudinally slitting the intestinal submucosa of sheep and goat, twisting the ribbons and joining them in wet condition giving monofilament finish.

PROPENE sutures are used for permanent fixtures and provide permanent wound support. It elicit minimal tissue reaction and do not cause tissue rupture or support infection. Polypropylene sutures are blue colored for easy identification during surgery and do not require any coating. High quality 300 series alloy needles are used for exceptional performance in terms of sharpness, strength and ductility.

Polyester sutures are known for superior knot sliding performance and ease of manipulation. They are not subject to degradation and retain tensile strength indefinitely in vivo.

PROPENE MESH is monofilament synthetic non-absorbable, sterile surgical mesh constructed of knitted filament of extruded polypropylene. PROPENE MESH is intended to assist in the repair and reinforcement of hernia and other fascial defects requiring the additional support of a non-absorbable mesh during and after wound healing.
