gum copal is a is a natural resinous material of plantbur sera bipinnata in the genus denellia. Its properties of water resistance, solubility in alcohols, ability to give glossy finishing and superior binding abilities makes it an important source of raw materials for the production ofvarnish, paint or water proofing materials and also used as an ingredient in adhesives, perfumes, printing ink, dental fillings, paper coating, etc. It is also used in the manufacturing of incense sticks due to its resinous minty with a lemon undernote fragrance and it is a very effective insect repellent. it has been mainly used as an emulsifier and stabilizer

our pws (prime white soft) grade of gum copal is the highest grade. It is white in colour and have min 99% purity. It is primarily used for making varnish for wood surfaces as it dries to a hard and shiny film. Such varnish is high-lustre and resistant to external scratches.

our dbb grade is pebble-sized and whitish yellow in colour with about 90% purity. This is an economy grade, ideal for production of slightly low-end varnishes. Its solubility is good. It can contain some black copal, but it is still easily dissolved in alcohol solvent mixtures. It is the most common grade for use in incense.

ws (white soft) is the lowest grade of gum copal, larger chunks, black in colour with about 60% purity. The impurities include tree bark and soil.

damar batu is the petrified natural resin of ancient shorean trees. It is obtained by collecting the hardened resin exudates, lying below the ground in fossilized form, close to the tree roots.the collected resin is then scraped using iron bristled brushes to remove mud and dirt residue and then sun dried. indonesia is the largest source for the damar batu.

batu means stone and it is the name given to damar collected from the ground. It is much harder than other resins. It has brown and black colours with various sizes (from 1 cm to 20cm). The quality of damar batu is determined mainly by the size of the resin lump, their colour and the amount of damar dust. The main grades of damar batu are bombay quality, calcutta quality and dust.

it is mainly used in the manufacture of paints, putty, varnish/shellac, water-resistant coatings and injection moulding materials. Damar batu is traditionally used as wood boat putty by way of mixing with kerosene. It has also been used for incense because releases a pleasant odour when burnt or heated. It is also used as a natural mosquito repellent.

Gum Rosin, also known colophony or Greek pitch, is a yellowish solid vitreous product resulting from the distillation ofOleo Pine Resin from pine trees. At room temperature rosin is brittle, but it melts at 75C. It primarily consists of different resin acids, especially abietic acid.
