IEC has developed a range of Hybrid Diesel Generating Solutions to cater to specific engines as well as specific application requirements.
Standard Diesel Generating Sets operate at a fixed speed irrespective of the HP demanded by the load to ensure that the output electrical frequency and voltage are maintained within narrow limits at all load levels.
Variable Speed Diesel Generating Sets adjust speed of the diesel engine depending on the load and employ electrical means to ensure that the output voltage and frequency are maintained constant irrespective of the engine speed. This leads to huge fuel savings when systems are operated on light loads. Many solutions like Telecom Towers, Apartment complexes, etc. can see a substantial reduction in operating costs.
IEC has developed a Diesel engine driven rotating welding generator for outdoor MIG welding application. IEC manufactures state of the art single & double bearing permanent magnet generators with accessories for MIG welding. These generators are to be coupled to Diesel engines.
The output of the Generator is directly used for MIG welding. It does not require any external power source & hence the MIG welding can be carried out at remote places where there is no power supply. The MIG Welding generators confirms to the requirements as per IS 10178.

The INVAC series of variable speed AC drives are based on the IGBT inverter and a 16 bit micro-controller chip. They can operate standard induction motors with shaft outputs ranging from 0.75 KW to 100 KW as variable speed drives. The ECOVAC series of economical variable speed AC drives are based on the IPM inverter and a 16 bit micro-controller chip. They can operate standard induction motors with shaft outputs ranging from 0.75 KW to 1.5 KW as variable speed drives. The INVECTOR series of variable speed AC drives are Vector Controlled Drives using a 32 bit DSP chip. They can operate standard induction motors with shaft outputs ranging from 0.75 KW to 250 KW as variable speed drives in either the Vector Controlled mode or the V/f mode. IEC also builds customized drives to meet your every need.
The Front End Converter (FEC) is mainly employed in Four Quadrant applications that demand regeneration. The FEC converts AC to DC (during motoring) or DC to AC (during regeneration) and maintains a constant DC bus voltage irrespective of input voltage fluctuations. When the prime mover is in motoring mode, the FEC draws power from the mains and when it is in the generation mode, it feeds power back to the mains.
