Viton is a performance elastomer with excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals and provides thermal stability. Viton rubber can be moulded into sales, gaskets, O-Rings, moulded sheets, and other profiles.
Viton rubber has excellent resistance to petroleum, low compression set, and high temperatures; however, it has limited resistance to low temperatures. Viton has a temperature range from -20 deg C to 205 deg Celcius.
Viton 0-rings and Viton cords are the most common moulded component of viton rubber. It works on an all sealing applications.
Gaskets with a soft pliable core, surrounded by a metal jacket that totally or partially encloses the filler material. Pass partition bars can be incorporated, either integrally or welded into the gasket. Jacket may be corrugated.
Metallic jacketed gaskets are specially designed and widely used for heat exchangers, autoclaves, columns, pressure vessels, flue stacks, boilers, gas mains, valve bonnets, pumps and similar services. The metallic gaskets are manufactured from a soft, pliable filler core surrounded by a metal jacket, chemically and thermally resistant to the working conditions, which may totally or partially enclose the filler.
The majority of these types of gasket are supplied in circular form but can be manufactured to other shapes to suit individual requirements. The method of manufacture enables gaskets to be produced with almost no size limitations. They are produced in different styles to API, ASME DIN and BS standards.

Most cylinders are moulded to 100 millimeters in length, although other lengths are still available. All cylinders can be etched for bonding.
All cylinders can be made with filled (reinforced) PTFE to enhance the performance parameters of PTFE. Materials available for reinforcement are Glass Fiber, Carbon, Graphite, Bronze, Molybdenum Disulfide, and Stainless Steel.
PTFE is a very popular material for O Rings. It is applicable in environments which require chemical resistance and non-compressible material.
PTFE O rings are resistant to a number of chemicals including steam, acids, bases, oils, etc.PTFE O-Rings is also known as Teflon O Rings. It has outstanding tear resistance and abrasive resistance resulting in slippery surface properties that make it advantageous for use in seals in moving systems such as valves. Usually it is not recommended for high vacuum seals and low compression vacuum sealing flanges. PTFE O-Rings do not have the compliance of rubber O-rings. To ease assembly, the cross sectional squeeze should be reduced relative to that specified for rubber.

If your temperature requirements range up to 500 F (260 C), PTFE Tubing (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene) is the recommended choice. It resists melt-off by soldering irons when making terminations. Because of its excellent dielectric properties, it is widely used in electronics and electrical service. Another key advantage of PTFE tubes or Teflon Tubes, as they have excellent non-stick properties that allow the transport of materials with minimal fluid resistance. Please do be aware, however, that PTFE reacts with fluorine, molten sodium hydroxide and molten alkali metals.PTFE Tubes are also known as Teflon Tubes.

PTFE Tubing comes in various configurations as well as custom designs. PTFE Tubing outperforms glass and graphite by its inherent superior chemical resistivity and low coefficient of friction, making it an ideal material for fluid transfers.
PTFE tubes or Teflon Tubes are widely used with virtually all industrial solvents, chemicals, and corrosive materials, and can be used in processes at elevated temperatures. It can be steam sterilized without effecting its physical properties, such as surface hardness, elongation, flex life or deformation under load. PTFE Tubes are normally translucent white in color, however, the degree of whiteness varies from lot to lot, and with dimensional wall thickness. Colored Teflon tubes are also available and are generally used to simplify tube routing during system installations.
PFA differs from PTFE in that it is melt-processable using conventional injection moulding and screw extension techniques. PFA has very similar properties of low coefficient of friction and non-reactivity, but more easily formable. PFA is softer than than PTFE and melts at 305 degrees Celsius. PFA is superior to PTFE with regards to its flexibility, making them useful for tubing applications. However, their ability to endure repetitive folding is actually lower than PTFEs own.
EPDM is the one of the most preferred material around the world by engineers. A Thermoset Elastomer, it is amenable to many processes and when vulcanized offers excellent physical properties such as compression set resistance, resistant to cracking, good UV stability, greater flexibility even at lower temperatures, and in addition it is also resistant to steam and moisture. This packing is virtually a premium packing because of its very low co-efficient of friction and it ensures immediate response to pressure changes. This packing is developed for pumps and valves handling highly corrosive liquids, where soft resilient packings are desired.
Service:
This packing is strongly recommended for Oxygen service, centrifugal shafts, mixers and agitators. A special packing for ammonia charge pumps, carbomate recycle pumps etc. involving high pressure application, acids and alkalies of any concentration. Not recommended to use on molten alkail metals.
A special tough 100% Pure PTFE Packing Impregnated with special ultra chemical inert suspensoid. The packing is diagonally braided. Our special impregnation process increases compressibility and recovery factors. This packing responds readily to pressure changes and forms a long lasting gland seal having very low coefficient of friction.

A good packing for control valves even under high pressure conditions, reciprocating rods, pumps handling corrosive gases, solvents, acids, hydrocarbons, ammonia, food -stuffs and pharmaceutical industries.
Not recommended to use on molten alkali metals such as Sodium, Potassium and gaseous fluorine as these can attack at high temperatures and pressures.
A special all Chemical Packing manufactured from Pure PTFE Fibres having DUPLEX BRAID construction to increase dimensional stability treated with inert high temperature resisting lubricant to resist migration and to display compressibility and recovery characteristics. The packing is safe, more flexible, and non-toxic. Fluids can be sealed with a minimum of gland pressure, consequently there is less friction as well as heat build up. It is an inert, virtually indestructible packing, having a lower co-efficient of friction with good compressive strength. Service:

Universal super performance packing DUPLEX Plaited form of sophisticated special Fluoropolymer fibre intimately bonded with graphite which will improve thermal conductivity and lubricity while retaining the quality of extremely low friction. The presence of graphite acts as a heat generated at the pump shaft or value spindle. Thus the resiliency and compressibility of the packing last long. This packing does not harden and runs cool. It has a low co-efficient of thermal expansion.
This packing is recommended for oils and solvents, caustics, acids, dyes, chemicals, white and black liquor, wood pulp, detergent with the exception of strong oxidising agents, aqua regia, fluorine and fuming nitric acid.

A premium service high temperature 100% Graphite Packing manufactured by the interbraid method. It is treated with special blocking agent to prevent seepage through the packing. It eliminates most of the shaft wear because graphite fibres are comparatively frictionless and immune to chemical hardening. The inherent lubricating value, low-coefficient of expansion, high heat conductivity, high temperature resistance are the characteristics of the packing resulting in extended packing life, lower maintenance cost, less down-time, lower leakage rates, and less shaft wear. This expanded graphite packing is one of the most flexible, resilient, soft, light in weight and it has plasticity and settles in gland to form an efficient seal. It has high sealing efficiency at high and low temperature.
This packing is also recommended to use as an anti-extrusion ring along with GRAFSEAL especially when the pressure is high. Also can be supplied reinforced with inconel wire, in SPITMANN STYLE 80
ANTI ABRASIVE PACKING Duplex Plaited Non-Asbestos Synthetic Fibre product which is as strong as steel, as smooth as silk, most flexible and treated with high temperature resisting lubricants, under controlled conditions. Well suited for pumping granular and viscous fluids even under high pressure conditions.
This packing has a high degree of resiliency and consistency of volume and hence avoids frequent gland adjustments. Low thermal expansion characteristics under actual operating conditions reduce mechanical pressure against shaft sleeves to minimise abrasion effect.
Service:
This packing is recommended for solvents, mild acids and alkalies, fuel oil, digester pumps, food, pharmaceuticals, petro-chemicals, pulp and paper industries. A good packing for high pressure dozing pump and high pressure water injection system. The rings made out of this packing are recommended to use as BACK -UP rings (anti-extrusion rings) with other types of soft packings especially where high pressure is involved.
