A vortex flow meter is a flow measurement device best suited for flow measurements where the introduction of moving parts presents problems. It operate under the vortex shedding principle, where an oscillating vortexes occur when a fluid such as water flow past a bluff (as opposed to streamlined) body. The frequency that the vortexes are shed depend on the size and shape of the body. It is ideal for applications where low maintenance costs are important. Industrial size vortex meters are custom built and require appropriate sizing for specific applications.
An advance version of Vortex Flow Meter have temperature & pressure compensation feature. Sensor which sense Fluid varying temperature & pressure & process these values & display the flow within accuracy limit therefor, change in temperature & pressure of fluid does not affect the performance of Vortex Flow Meter.

A turbine flow meter is used for volumetric total flow and/or flow rate measurement and has a relatively simple working principle. The angular (rotational) velocity of the turbine rotor is directly proportional to the fluid velocity flowing through the turbine. Turbine Flow Meters are useful for liquids & gases in general industrial application. Suitable for hygienic application.
The pickup coil senses the spinning motion of the rotor inside the pipe & converts it into a pulsating electrical signal. Summation of the pulsating electrical signal is directly related to the total flow. The frequency is linearly proportional to flow rate which is converted to mA signal by electronic circuitry. Flow rate Indicator / Totalizer / Transmitter and Controllers are available in Local/Remote and Panel Mounted Options.

The measuring element of an oval gear meter consists of two toothed precision oval wheels which are driven by the fluid passing through the unit. The number of revolutions is an exact measure of the volume.
The positive displacement flow meter with mechanical display, designed tocover of industrial fluid measurement application. It is ideally suited to applications requiring accurate dispense quantities. Measurement of very low flow rates, small batch size, viscous products and non-conductive liquids are all ideal uses for this meter. Because this meter does not require flow conditioning, no straight piping run are required, so it can be used in installations where space is limited without effecting performance.

Often, the gear meter is selected over the Coriolis because of its accuracy and longevity in harsh environments where the Coriolis is susceptible to interference from pressure or temperature changes and general wear.
An ultrasonic flow meter is a type of flow meter that measures the velocity of a fluid with ultrasound to calculate volume flow. Using ultrasonic transducers, the flow meter can measure the average velocity along the path of an emitted beam of ultrasound, by averaging the difference in measured transit time between the pulses of ultrasound propagating into and against the direction of the flow or by measuring the frequency shift from the Doppler effect. Ultrasonic flow meters are affected by the acoustic properties of the fluid and can be impacted by temperature, density, viscosity and suspended particulates depending on the exact flow meter. They vary greatly in purchase price but are often inexpensive to use and maintain because they do not use moving parts, unlike mechanical flow meters.
