Thermocouple #33580

Molten Aluminium Thermocouple

We at Industrial Furnace & Control manufacture Molten Thermocouple. It is the sheath which is an alloy of silicon nitride and aluminum oxide. This superior refractory material has the combined properties of silicon nitride (high strength, hardness, fracture toughness, and low thermal expansion) and aluminum oxide (corrosion resistance, chemically inert, high temperature capabilities, and oxidation resistance). Not recommended for caustic solutions and hydrofluoric acid.

Thermocouples

Thermocouples used for High Temperature applications are PtPt Rh type . PtPt Rh 13%, 10%, or 30% can be used depending upon the operating temperatures. German make Recrystallised High Alumina Pythogorous KER - 610, KER - 710, SS 310 or Inconel 600800 grade tubes are provided as protection sheaths. High Alumina tubes can withstand temperatures upto 1850 Deg C. Heavy duty K (CrAl)Type Thermocouples are used with outer SS310, Inconel 600 , Incolley 800 or Ceramic KER-610 tubes as protection sheaths. This sheathings posses good resistance to oxidation at higher temperature. Simplex or Duplex with straight or L type are available. Mineral Insulated Thermocouples with outer SS 316 or Inconel 600 grade sheath (Simplex and Duplex) in diameters 1.0mm , 1.5mm , 3.00mm , 4.5mm , 6.00mm , 8.00mm are also offered. Thermocouples with Single or Multibore Insulators and junction block are used in laboratory applications for air temperatures. Handheld Thermocouples connected to Portable indicators can be offered for sensing the temperatures of metal surfaces.

Mi Thermocouple

Mineral insulated thermocouples are probably the most commonly used thermocouples in industry today. They are manufactured from a seamless metal sheath. The thermocouple element is insulated from the sheath by a compacted magnesium oxide powder. The temperature range is governed by the thermocouple type and sheath material. These thermocouples are avaliable in a range of diameters from 1mm to 8mm. They are self armoured, sealed from the operating environment, extremely flexible and can be bent or shaped without any loss in operational performance.
