Packaged Performance Products are brakes which are assembled and aligned at the factory for maximum performance and ease of installation. Offered as clutches, brakes, and clutch/brake combinations, packaged products can be base mounted, shaft mounted, or installed or between C-face motors and reducers. Electro Brakes mount directly on a motor through shaft for basic braking functions.

FL series power-on clutches are used to couple two parallel shafts. The armature hub assembly is mounted to the same shaft as rotor assembly. The armature hub accommodates a pulley, gear, sprocket, etc., to transmit torque to second shaft. The field assembly is mounted to bulkhead that perpendicular to input shaft.

Inertia Dynamics features five sizes of ball bearing clutches. All sizes have ball bearing armature and field assemblies for heavy-duty applications, allowing higher shaft speeds and side loads to be achieved. All BSL clutches are shaft mounted for easy installation and operate in the same manner as our SL series clutches.

Electromagnetic close type clutch brakes (also called electro-mechanical brakes or EM brakes) slow or stop motion using electromagnetic force to apply mechanical resistance (friction). The original name was "electro-mechanical brakes" but over the years the name changed to "electromagnetic brakes", referring to their actuation method.
