Centrifugal fans and blowers typically have one of six types of wheels that draw the air into the inlet of the blower housing and discharges it at 90 degrees out through the discharge of the housing. Indair designs and manufactures centrifugal fans for wide range of pressure, direction of discharge and power to suit customer requirement. Many of the blowers in varying capacities are available in standard specifications. However, we specialize in offering one-off tailor made designs as well to suit customer specifications. The two most common types of centrifugal blowers are pressure blowers and volume blowers.
Centrifugal blowers are typically made of fabricated mild steel, stainless steel or cast aluminum, rarely in inconel, Cast iron and special steels too. Fans are manufactured with different impeller configuration as per application. If you have special requirements that cannot be met with standard fans or blowers, please contact us.
An Axial Fan normally uses a propeller, for more economic there will be 5 or more blades, to draw the air through a section of ductwork or a flat wall panel and out the other side in an axial direction. There is also one type of axial fan that has a centrifugal wheel mounted in a section of duct work and is classified as a tubular centrifugal. Axial flow fans or axial fans use a propeller to draw the air into the fan and discharge it in the same axial direction in helical form. The most common types of industrial axial fans are: tube axial fans (or duct fans), panel fans (or wall fans), vane axial fans, personnel coolers and air circulators. Propeller/impeller used could be cast aluminum or sheet metal blades dynamic balanced for vibration free operation. In variable pitch model, the blade angels could be adjusted to vary volume and pressure developed by the impeller. Capacity of the fan varies with the blade angle extensively without changing speed of the fan. Generally the discharge of the axial fan throws the air in helical pattern. When the helical pattern is not preferred, the directive vanes are included. These fans are termed as van axial fans.
Our Single Stage Pressure Blower is designed for combustion, air, fluid bed aeration, cooling, drying and many process system applications. It is also commonly used in pneumatic conveying and combustion purpose. New designs of pressure blowers fill the diverse needs of high pressure applications from combustion air to fume and dust control to food processing. Our special design high pressure fan is ideal for corrosive exhaust, air pollution systems and chemical processing. Fans with ceramic tile liners are extremely effective in pulverized coal applications, handling up to 250 grains per cubic feet of air. For corrosive gases, a stainless steel wheel and housing is available, or a lower cost rubber-lined, mild steel housing will often fulfill the requirements. Additional Options
