Copper Electric Detonators

We manufacture, export and supply Copper Electric Detonators. Designed with utmost precision, our Copper Electric Detonators comply with set industry standards. The Copper Electric Detonators are suitable for use in underground gassy mines and many other types of blasting. Our detonators offer a reliable means of controlled, simultaneous initiation of explosive charge. They are manufactured in No. 8 strength in copper shells. The copper shells are fitted with electrical fuse heads. PVC coated GI / copper leg wires are sleeved through a PVC plug and crimped to the detonator to ensure protection against moisture and water.

Precautions :

  • Make sure that all connections are made with clean bare wire ends and if necessary freshly expose bare wire.

  • Make sure that the bare ends do not come in contact with any conductors such as power lines, pipes, rails or other paths of stray current.

  • Make sute that the shot-fiting cable is connected to the exploder just before fiting the shot and is immediately disconnected after the shot is fired. The exploder key must laways be in the possession of the blaster and not kept on the machine.

  • Ensure that the exploder used is of adequare capacity and the current is of the desired magnitude for full initiation fo the round.

  • Check the circuit for continuity before fiting the shots. This must be done using only "Blasters" ohm-meter.

Packaging Details : 25 detonators are made into a bundle and two such bundles (50 no.s) are wrapped in kraft paper to make it into a packet. 30 such packets will be placed in a corrugated card board box. In case of 2.5 & 3.0 mtrs. 25 detonators are made in to a bundle. 40 such packets (1000 nos.) will be placed in a corrugated card will be placed in a corrugated card board box.

Super Relay

We are instrumental in offering the best quality Super Relay in numerous specifications. The Super Relay is a non – electric surface delay equipment to provide delay between the holes and rows in detonating fuse initiated blast patterns. Our Super Relay features two holes on either end of the component to insert and tie the detonating fuse. This relay is bi-directional. Every Super Relay consists of two delay devices assembled in a plastic component. It is ideal for use in the blast for safe and reliable multi-directional blast designs. Super Relay can be used to provide delay initiation patters such as row delay, diagonal pattern, V-pattern etc.

 

Usage and Handling :

  • Detonating fuse should be laid between the holes without much stackness.

  • Cut the detonating fuse and insert the end into the hole provided for this purpose in the connector.

  • Insert the other end of detonating fuse into the hole of the new super relay.

  • Make sure that the detonating fuse ends do not fall on the middle of the relay.

  • Make sure that the ends of the detonating fuse will not get wet once laid on the ground.

  • Keep the relay close to the ground and to the hole as much as possible.

  • The Circuit should be looped for dual advantage of blasting

Petn Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate

Petn Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate that we are offering is a white colored crystallite material, which is independently used as a high explosive, as the explosive core for detonating fuse (or) as an ingredient of composite explosives. Our Pentacrythritol Tetranitrate (Petn) crystals are short and hexagonal in appearance with minimum elongates and are free from needle shaped crystals, dust and visible impurities. Details :

  • Common use of PETN is as an explosive with high brisance.

  • It is more difficult to detonate than primary explosives, so dropping or igniting it will typically not cause an explosion (at atmospheric pressure it is difficult to ignite and burns relatively slowly), but is more sensitive to shock and friction than other secondary explosives such as TNT or TETRYL.

  • Under certain conditions a deflagration no detonation transition can occur.

  • It is rarely used alone, but primarily used in booster and bursting charges of small caliber ammunition, in upper charges of detonators in some land mines and shells, and as the explosive core of detonation cord.

  • PETN is the least stable of the common military explosives, but can be stored without significant deterioration for longer than nitroglycerin or nitro-cellulose.
