Tube ice maker discharges ice at every 20 Minutes. A tube ice plant of 20 ton per day capacity will produce 280 kg of ice at every 20 minutes. So hourly it will produce 840 KG of tube ice. Depending on the process demand, industrial ice users want tube ice in lot of say 10 ton in one hour or 10 ton in 20 min. In such condition they have to store the ice. Also areas where power is inexpensive in the night, its profitable to make ice in night and store the ice in ice storage for the usage in the day time, rather than making ice when power charges are higher.
