FEP Encapsulated O Ring also known as PTFE Encapsulated 'O' Ring consist of a seamless PTFE jacket which surrounds the elastomer core providing the chemical inertness, and thus ensures sealing function and high resistance to corrosive media. Whilst the elastomer core energises the seal and provides even tension at the sealing point and thus a constant area pressure. Encapsulated seals were primarily designed to solve the growing problems of sealing corrosive fluids in industry, Development of FEP encapsulated seals provided designers and engineers with a seal that combined the chemical resistance of PTFE with the resilience of rubber. Design Types: There are two different types of Mechanical Face Seals. Type FO Type FT The Mechanical Face Seal Type FT consists of two metallic angular seal rings of same geometric contour, the seal rings are assembled with trapezoidal or diamond shaped elastomers instead of an 'O' Ring type elastomer. Both metallic seal rings seal against each other on a lapped seal face.
Typical Applications Mechanical Face Seals are predominantly used as seal for the bearings in construction machinery, seal for axle of tractor, seal for tread roller of excavator, seal for cutting shaft of crop harvester, seal for screw conveyor for abrasive materials and equipment's operating under extreme arduous and extreme conditions and which are subject to wear. |
ITK Camlock Gaskets are designed to use as hose coupling seals with practically all chemicals, even in the toughest environments. These camlock gaskets combines the properties of two materials to for a superior seal, elastomer as the energizing core for resilience and FEP as encapsulation on outside for chemical resistance. FEP Encapsulation: Material Standards FEP is a standard grade of jacket material, We only use FEP (Fluorinated-Ethylene-Propylene) which is overall the most versatile jacket material. FEP encapsulation is the preferred standard material for all applications below 205c continuous temperature. It is resilient to most chemicals, has a wide temperature range, excellent fatigue resistance and excellent lowco-efficient of friction. Core Materials Silicone is a standard core material, we utilise the best quality silicone core in manufacturing FEP silicone camlock gaskets, and Silicone elastomer core offers wider operating temperature range. TESLON Expanded PTFE Sheet consists of 100% Virgin PTFE. The manufacturing process produces a multidirectional fibrous texture which gives the material its special properties. This creates a soft and pliable, yet very tough gasket that has excellent resistance of pressing, creep relaxation and cold flow. It can seal the uneven and damaged flanges. TESLON sheet is a soft highly compressible sealing material and shows very low compression rates & exhibits very little increase in width even under extreme sealing conditions. The exceptional malleability of TESLON Expanded PTFE can compensate for damaged sealing surfaces. This allows use with stress sensitive connections and applications where only a limited flange load is available e.g. Plastic Flanges, Glass Flanges, etc.

Description TESLON Expanded PTFE sealant tape is a spooled Joint Sealant Tape made of 100% virgin PTFE material with micro-fibrillated internal structure for excellent stability. TESLON PTFE is resistant to all chemical products and solvents with the exception of alkaline materials. It has good resistance to elevated pressures and has a high thermal stability. TESLON expanded PTFE tape is odourless and tasteless making it suitable for food application. Upon compression, it forms a thin, hard ribbon that fills in surface irregularities and creates an extremely tight seal. It is capable of withstanding a wider range of pressures, temperatures and chemical environments than any other soft gasket. TESLON Expanded PTFE joint sealant ensures an effective, enduring, and cost-effective seal, making a valuable contribution towards keeping your production and manufacturing processes optimised.

ITK style 300 is constructed using graphite filament yarns and impregnated with graphite at high temperature resulting in increase on cross-section density and acts as a stable pressure cushion for the carbon fibres. ITK style 300 exhibits excellent co-efficient of thermal conduction with exceptional temperature capability and universal chemical resistance. Low friction coefficients are standard for less shaft wear and lower maintenance and replacement costs. ITK style 300 offers more value than other packing's.
ITK style 305 is Pure Graphite in the ribbon tape form, It is self-lubricating , low friction, high purity, ribbon tape without any filters, binders, resins, oil or grease which could possible leave the packing and reduce its volume or contaminate the process media. It is ideally suited for high temperature and pressure applications, This packing is non-hardening and dimensionally stable and impervious to gases and fluids. ITK style 305 is cut from flexible graphite sheet with carbon content no less than 99% in rolls, as the filler for spiral wound gasket in situ pumps and valve gland packing. |

ITK style 308 is a self-lubricating, pre compressed die formed rings constructed from pure graphite ribbon tape without any filters, binders or resins. The rings are designed to produce and accurate specific density for compression resistance, elasticity and retention of size and shape. All of which are necessary to provide the best possible valve sealing performance. In ITK style 308 die formed rings the mechanical pressure is exerted over a larger areas, which greatly increase shaft sleeve life. ITK style 308 can be supplied to required size for ease of fitting. |
ITK style 304 is constructed from pure expanded graphite yarn with excellent carbon content. Being pure graphite they have excellent chemical resistance, thermal conductive and can be used n extreme temperature and pressure conditions. ITK style 306 is reinforced with Wire mesh (Inconel wire) for suitability to high temperature and pressure. Both ITK style 304 and ITK style 306 can be used as die formed rings as per requirements. |

Product Description ITK style 210 is square braided from synthetic fibre called Poly Acrylic Nitrile (P.A.N.) fibres and thoroughly impregnated with heavy PTFE dispersion and further treated with special lubricants which will maximise the performance of the synthetic fibre. It is thoroughly impregnated with PTFE in order to enhance the chemical resistance, lubrication and dimensional stability, this helps to ensure even gland local distribution and promoting longer packing life. |

ITK style 214 is square braided from reinforced Poly Acrylic Nitrile (P.A.N.) fibres in combination of pure graphite fibres, each strand of yarn is thoroughly impregnated and is sealed off with a special grade of fine graphite flakes. To enhance the packing performance and properties, this composite yarn is given a treatment of final coating of graphite impregnation prior to its been squared. |
