In order to provide a complete moisture barrier packaging assembly, desiccant must be inserted into the bag, prior to having the bag vacuum sealed. The recommended amount ofdesiccantis dependent on the interior

METHOD OF APPLICATION VCI desiccant 19000is extremely simple and convenient to install. The device should be installed at the earliest possible time. Simply select a space within any enclosure where corrosion protection would be useful. Verify the surface to which the device will be affixed is clean and free of debris & place the pouch in the viscinity of the components to be protected. Do not touch the pouches to any component as they may cause staining on the components if they become wet after absorbing humidity. Copper Shieldis specialty gradeVCI papermeant for Copper Products, Brass, Bronze and items containing Zinc Plating, Silver, Nickel, Chrome, Aluminum or other platings.
Copper Shieldprotects the product due to the vapour corrosion inhibitng chemicals present within the micropores of thepaper which evaporate and forma multimolecular protective film which hinders and negates the effect of moisture and otherharmful gases that may cause tarnishing or corrosion.
Copper Shieldis a high end product available for specialized applications to protectcopper sheets, copper tubes, brassartifacts, copper coatedmig wire and bead wire, electrical copper strips, engine bearings that may contain copper, tin andaluminum, engine bushes, sopper strips for electrical applications as well as other multimetal plated articles.

RUST-X TUFFPAULIN VCI filmprovides better corrosion protection compared to using ordinaryVCIFilm and provides a single product with multiple features such as abrasion protection, movement restriction, water barrier as well as moisture barrier hence providing excellent option for long term preservation.
TheTUFFPAULIN VCI filmemits protective vapors, which have the tendency to neutralize the moisture as well as form a multi-molecular film on the surface of the metal and inhibit the electrolytic process of oxidation.
The film is available as tube, sheet or in the form of 3-D covers to wrap the equipment suiting the size of the equipment or the pallet. The film is very tough and cannot be stretched or punctured easily.
The film is transparent for ease of visibility of the part or equipment packed in it.

It is a nitrite freeVCI Masterbatchthere is impregnated with specialisedVCI chemicalsfor corrosion protection of metals and nonmetals and is a multimetal product. This is based on SMP technology which stands for speedy moisture passivation in which 20% of the VCI is released within six hours of opening theVCI filmbag and remaining 80% over a period of 15 years.
VCI vapours are released over period of time which react with moisture or water molecules and neutralise them so where ever they settle on the metal part The new molecule is neutral to corrosion. A PH value of 8 to 9 is maintained in the packaging hence inhibiting any corrosion of the parts as the corrosion can only take place where there is high moisture or Acidic content in the packaging
It is very easy to extruded the film in most extruders using rest XVCI masterbatch. The product is reach approved, ROHS compliant, TRGS615 compliant, heavy metals free, nitrite free and does not have a very strong odour.
The resin is clear and when extruded with LDPE, Hdpe or PP and does not release any gasses during the manufacturing and does not believe any residue in the extras in machine or on the rollers, die, screw, barrel or airings.
How to testVCIquality and performance?
VCI masterbatchcan be validated using a very simple test where a few drops of water can be put inRustXwith a steel blade and on the other side in a normal plastic bag with a few drops of water and a steel blade.
What you shall notice is that there would be corrosion in the normal bag within a few minutes to a few hours and the rustics we see a film will not have corrosion even four years with doors few drops of water inside the bag.
Application VCI MASTERBATCH
VCI Masterbatch3100 PC can be blended with polyethylene resin (LDPE/ LLDPE/ HDPE) depending on the thickness ofthe film or application and requested shelf life. The length of protection anticipated by film containingVCI Masterbatch3100 PC is 5 years when extruded with ideal processing guideline. RPA 4600is a water soluble rust preventive agent which can be added to water between 0.5%-10% concentration depending upon the criticality of product, operation of manufacturing & usage for prevention of corrosion on Steel and Aluminum and period of life.
This can be used as a leak testing additive, can be added to re-circulating cooling water, boilers, heat exchangers, cutting oil tanks and any other water systems to avoid corrosion caused due to water.
The product can be be easily tested by adding 2-3% in water and keeping a metal part submerged in this water and comparing to another beaker with a similar metal part submerged but withoutRPA 4600. Within 2-3 hours the results can be seen and the metal part in water having 2-3%RPA 4600concentration will never get rusted even for months compared to the one submerged in normal water which will rust within 2-3 hours.
Water based rust preventive are the latest generation of Rust Prevention Oils which are also eco-friendly. This is due to ability of mixing with high water content & solvent free product which upon evaporation does not harm the environment & doesnt release CFCs or gases that may harm the environment.
The WRP 910 Conc. is delivered as a brown emulsion that has to be mixed with H2O in 1:10 to 1:5 concentration. The final film left after application allows water to evaporate and forms a rust preventive film.
WRP 910 Conc. is corrosion preventive for medium to short term and can be spray or dip applied on to the components.
WRP 910 Conc. also contains VCI chemicals which also work in vapour phase and prevents corrosion inareaswhich may not have been directly contacted with the rust preventive.

The causes of temperature and moisture changes encompass the following scenarioss:
The condensation of water occurring within a shipping container due to temperature changes causes settlement of moisture on the cooler parts and components. This condensation of water on parts is termed as Container Rain.
This happens when humid air is cooled below its dew point and the moisture starts to settle on or condense on the cooler more conductive metal parts. To counteract the effect of Container Rain dehumidifiers can be used, which reduce the moisture content in the air hence lowering the dew point and preventing the Container Rain issue.

The issues caused by excessive moisture can be corrosion in metallic and automotive components during storage and exports, fungal developments in textiles and garments, circuitry issues in electronic goods, mold development in leather goods, dampness in pharmaceutical products and tarnishing of brass, copper and silver.
Due to the changes in temperature and volume of air, the moisture is sucked into the container by the process of container breathing. this moisture then condenses or gets absorbed resulting in a detrimental effect on the articles packed.Zorb-ithelps in adsorption and retention of this moisture within theZorb-ITDesiccant pouch.

These are easy to assemble boxes supplied in flat form and are delivered as pallet base and sides. the boxes are made of special high strength plywood with sides made up of steel hinges that provide high strength for stacking of pallets.
The complete pallet can be assembled within a few minutes by fixing the steel tongues into the hinges.
As supplied the pallets consume only 20% of the volume compared to assembled boxes.
These are available in standard Euro Sizes and can also be supplied in custom sizes to suit client requirements.
VCI chipsmanufactured byRUST-Xare impregnated with volatile corrosion inhibiting chemicals that can provide protection to metal components placed in the vicinity of the chips for a long term. RUST-X VCINeutracoat Xtremeis a latex based primer, which can be applied with a brush or spray on the parts to be protected. The compound first converts the corrosion and then leaves a latex based layer on the surface which has a high salt spray life. The total action time is approx. 1-3 hours depending on the environmental conditions in which it is applied. It is highly active against corrosion conversion for the most damaged products that are hard to shot blast, sand blast or phosphate and works in extreme environmental conditions and provides long-term corrosion protection to the parts on which it is applied. The liquid is transparent or can be of any chosen colour upon application.
The VCINeutracoat Xtremeremains liquid even after years of application. This therefore does not cause any dimensional changes on the part. The VCINeutracoat Xtremeis compatible with Engine, Hydraulic and Transmission fluids and does not cause any detrimental effect on the same. VCINeutracoat Extremeconverts the metal surface layer in a chelating layer that converts the surface into hydrophobic passive layer. This is later than converted into a solid film due to the presence of water based latex polymers that works like a primer and prevents further corrosion. If very high salt spray life is required, then the layer can be plated or applied with thicker paints either water or solvent based.

Application and HandlingThis can be used to protect structures, chemical plants and equipments that are intended for outdoor storage or are located in open areas and need protection. These can also be used to protection unpacked refinery equipment oil pipleline equipment and valves, off shore refinery parts which are not painted or coated and require protection or during the storage while commissioning, for lay-up during shut downs and also on heat exchangers, wind mills and automotives. Due to a higher drop point the VCINeutracoat Xtremeit can be used on the chemical plant and equipment, which is in operation at elevated temperatures.

Dampness typically results in the growth of mold or mildew on wood surfaces. Mold usually appears as black orgreenish-brown patches on surfaces in humid environments. Mildew is a common term used to describe bothmold fungi and their discoloration to unfinished wood. Besides causing an unsightly appearance, spores frommold fungi can cause allergies and other health hazards.

Humidity Indicator Cards(HICs) are printed with moisture sensitive spots which respond to levels of humiditywith a visible color change from blue to pink. The humidity inside dry packed barrier bags can be monitored byincluding anHICinside. When the bag is opened, the card can be examined for proper dryness inside the bag.This indicates that the barrier bag and desiccant functioned correctly.
Humidity indicatorcards allow fast visual inspection of the relative humidity within sealed packaging andcontainers. The indicators quickly and clearly change from blue to pink as relative humidity increases to unsafelevels. The cards can measure RH levels from 5% to 60%.
