The grease is specially developed for the lubrication of anti-friction bearings of railway axle boxes of locomotives and electric motors to give longer life. It is suitable for lubrication under sub-zero and reasonably high temperature (140 deg C) conditions and has been approved by RDSO Lucknow. Servo GEM RR 3 has also been recommended for lubrication of wheel bearings for buses and has been approved by Ashok Leyland Ltd.
