Cis-3-Hexanyl acetate is obtained by Esterification and fractional distillation of cis-3-hexenol, which in turn obtained by the fractionation of Mentha Arvensis oil, It is also known as Leaf acetate. It is a colourless, clear transparent liquid with fresh green fruity odour.

Menthyl acetate is obtined form fractional distillation of Mentha Arvensis oil, it is a natural ester which contributes to the odor and flavour of Mint related products. It is also called acetate or ester of menthol. It is a clear colourless free flowing liquid and having Fruity, Herbaceous, cooling odour. Menthyl acetate is also found in Mentha Piperita oil between 2-3% which contributes to the flavour of Mentha Piperita.
It appears as a transparent to Slightly yellow liquid having a fruit like odour. It is obtained from the esterification and fractional distillation Linalool.
