Open Path Gas Detector

The ILUX hydrocarbon gas detector is an open path infrared gas detection system that provides continuous monitoring of combustible hydrocarbon gas concentrations in the range of 0 to 1, 5 LEL/m, 0-2, 5 LEL/m, 0-5 LEL/m, over a distance of 5 to 200 meters. Standard system outputs include 4-20 mA DC current output, with HART and RS-485 MODBUS communication. ILUX is capable of detecting most hydrocarbon gases and vapors including methane, ethane, propane, butane, propylene and others. No direct electrical interconnection between the two modules is required. The application of the ILUX system is allows to substitute for up to 12 fixed gas detectors. The ILUX system consists of two stainless steel modules- a transmitter and a receiver, along with mounting fixture hardware. Both modules are powered from an external 24 volt DC supply. The receiver provides the measurement signal outputs, and is furnished with an onboard status indication LED and an external magnetic bangle for reset setting and zero adjustment. The transmitter contains one ultra-reliable xenon flash lamp. Both modules are installed of approximately the same elevation and must be aligned to point directly at one another. The ILUX transmitter module illuminates a direct linear path ending at the ILUX receiver module. As flammable hydrocarbon gases intersect the light beam between by the two modules, certain IR wavelengths are absorbed by the gas, while other IR wavelengths are not. The amount of IR absorption is determined by the concentration of the hydrocarbon gas. A pair of optical detectors and associated electronics located in the receiver module measures the absorption. The change in the intensity of the absorbed light (active signal) is measured relative to the intensity of light at a non-absorbed wavelength (reference signal). The microprocessor computes the gas concentration and converts the value into a 4-20 mA current output signal (digital signal), which is then communicated to external control and annunciation systems. No filter wheel motors or other moving parts are utilized in either module.

VOC Gas Detector

We are the most reliable VOC Gas Detector Manufacturer, Supplier and Exporter from Vapi, Gujrat. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are organic chemicals that have a high vapor pressure at ordinary, room-temperature conditions. Their high vapor pressure causes the molecules to evaporate from the liquid or solid form of the compound and enter the surrounding air. These vapor form of VOCs is detectable by a VOC Gas Detector and hence we come to know its presence in environment. VOCs are numerous, varied, and ubiquitous. They include both man-made and naturally occurring chemical compounds. Many VOCs are dangerous to human health or cause harm to the environment. VOCs are typically not acutely toxic, but instead have compounding long-term health effects. PID (Photoionization) : A photoionization detector measure volatile organic compounds and other gases. It uses an ultraviolet (UV) light source (photo = light) to break down chemicals to positive and negative ions (ionization) that can easily be counted with a detector. Ionization occurs when a molecule absorbs the high-energy UV light, which excites the molecule and results in the temporary loss of a negatively charged electron and the formation of positively charged ion. The gas becomes electrically charged. In the PID, these charged particles produce a current that is then amplified and displayed on the meter as "ppm" (parts per million) or even in "ppb" (parts per billion). The ions quickly recombine after passing the electrodes in the detector to re-form their original molecule. PIDs are non-destructive; they do not "burn" or permanently alter the sample gas, which allows them to be used for sample gathering. All Volatile elements and chemicals can be ionized, but they differ in the amount of energy they require. The energy required to displace an electron and "ionize" a compound is called its Ionization Potential (IP), measured in electron volts (eV). The light energy emitted by a UV lamp is also measured in eV. Note : If the IP of the sample gas is less than the eV output of the lamp, then the sample gas will be ionized and detected. We offer VOC Gas Detectors with three different PID lamps : 9.8eV, 10.6eV and 11.7 eV. The standard lamp is 10.6 eV with 3 years warranty. Now, few compounds have IP less than 9.8, few have less than 10.6 and few have more than 10.6 eV. So considering 10.6eV PID lamp we confirm that given compounds shall be detectable with our VOC Gas Detector. These Meter VOC Gas Detectors are manufactured using latest technology to offer accurate performance. Why Our VOC Gas Detector?
  • Highly durable
  • Reliable reading
  • Easy to use
  • Spare parts availability
