Hindalco-Almex Aerospace Limited (HAAL) manufactures high-strength aluminium alloys for applications in the aerospace, sporting goods and surface transport industries. This is a first-of-its-kind facility in India, which is exclusively devoted to high- performance aluminium alloys. HAAL is located at Shendra, Aurangabad in western India, around 350 km from Mumbai. A Greenfield facility, which has come up on 20 acres of land, HAAL commissioned its plant in November 2008. Thus far, HAAL has successfully cast billets in various 2xxx, 6xxx a nd 7xxxx series alloys in the entire set of tooling ranges present. All material has passed the required quality parameters for input raw materials in the forging and extrusion process.
