churpi or himalayan hard cheese is a traditional cheese consumed in the himalayan regions of nepal, sikkim, darjeeling, kalimpong, bhutan, and tibet. It is known to be native to the himalayan belt and over the years has evolved into one of the healthiest "dog treats" available on the planet. we have various churpi manufacturing centres all over the himalayas. We source milk from the local villages, this milk is then boiled, curdled with a hint of lime and then further boiled to attain a solid mass separated from the liquid. This is then compressed, wrapped and hung in a thin cloth to drain out the water. it is then further smoke dried for a minimum of 30 days to obtain the hardness and smoky flavour. price range : 600 - 700 rs./kg
