Anti Oxidant Masterbatch

Plastics generally ages rapidly under the effects of light, oxygen and heat leading to

After polymerization, most plastics are pelletized and shipped to compounders, polymer converters and subsequently manufacturers of the final plastic article. During this process, the polymer undergoes several processing steps which usually involves extrusion of molten polymer. Each processing step causes degradation, a result of the combined action of shear, heat and oxgyen.

Antioxidant Masterbatch has wide application in the plastic industry for protecting the polymers from degradation at high temperature range. Formulated on the basis of stearically hindered phenolic antioxidants that are properly dispersed in poly-olefin carrier, these masterbatches are responsible for protecting and retaining the gloss and mechanical properties of the end product.

Nucleating Agents

Nucleating agents promote the crystallization of semi-crystalline polymers. These additives function by presenting a heterogeneous surface to the polymer melt, making the crystallization process more thermodynamically favorable. As a result of the this effect, the temperature at which the polymer begins to crystallize from the melt is increased, as are the rate of nucleation and overall rate of crystallization. These results into three main benefit i.e. property enhancement, improved molding productivity and increased transparency.

These masterbatches are composed of superior quality of nucleating agents and specialty organic additives dispersed in polyolefin carrier resin. These masterbatches remarkably lower down the cycle time of moulding process along with increase the dimensional stability of the product.

Anti Static Masterbatch

This Masterbatch is based on stearate and amine bases chemicals. It is mainly used in films and moldings made of PE and PP. It gives lubricating effect during moulding or extrusion contributing to a smooth, shiny surface on the product produced. It is also used as an antistatic agent to reduce the electrical resistance on the surface of films and molded products. It also gives uniform cell size distribution in expanded polyethylene (EPE) foams. In addition to this, we test all the final chemicals on various parameters to ensure quality. We also pack our chemicals using premium packaging material to ensure safety.

UV Masterbatch

Exposure to sunlight and some artificial lights can have adverse effects on the useful life of plastic products. UV radiation can break down the chemical bonds in a polymer. This process is called photodegradation. It ultimately causes cracking, chalking, color changes and the loss of physical properties. To counteract the damaging effect of UV light, UV stabilizers are used to solve the degradation problems associated with exposure to sunlight. UV stabilizers can be categorized by two general classifications ultraviolet light absorber (UVA) and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS).

HALS are extremely efficient stabilizers against light- induced degradation of most polymers. They do not absorb UV radiation, but act to inhibit degradation of the polymer. Significant levels of stabilization are achieved at relatively low concentrations.

UV Masterbatch is available with concentration from 10% to 20% using high quality of HALS which helps to protect the polymers against UV Degradation and strength the production level.

Anti Block Masterbatch

While dealing with Thin polyolefin films or bags, there is a tendency towards blocking to each other or surfaces of other materials. Opposite film faces are prone to adhere to each other or with other surfaces, which results in film block and affects processing during film winding operations.

If not properly treated, blocking causes severe handling problems during film unwinding and final packaging applications which created obstacles for the complete manufacturing process. In order to resolve this problem, the film must be given roughness by incorporating specific fillers, whether organic or mineral in nature.

The most effective method to resolve this issue is to add antiblock Masterbatch. An Antiblock additive present in the resin microscopically protrudes from the film surface. This creates asperities which helps to minimize the film to film contact, increasing the distance between the two layers, thereby minimizing blockage.

Slip additives are added to reduce the surface coefficient of friction of polymers and are used to enhance either processing or end applications. PPA Masterbatch

These masterbatches are specially engineered for improving the performance of blown films & other extrusion products in terms of optical properties, mechanical properties with reductions in the production cost.

These Masterbatches are based on Fluoropolymers and are widely recommended for improving the processibility of polymers at higher shear rates.These are formulated to form a microscopic dispersed phase within the polymer carrier.

During processing the fluoropolymer gets coated on the walls of the extruder and die. This reduces the extuder backpressure to decrease. To achieve the coating in a reasonable time the process aid masterbatch is typically added at 1% until the beneficial effects are seen. After this the addition rate can be reduced to 0.5% down to even 0.25% as long as the effect continues to be evident. A small addition must be maintained throught the extrusion run.
