Package Integrity Testing

VeriPac inspection systems evaluate and analyze package integrity with precision and repeatability. VeriPac systems can be easily integrated into the packaging process to improve quality, reduce waste, and provide operators with a clearer understanding of package quality. Test systems are non-destructive, non-invasive and require no sample preparation. Test fixtures are designed to inspect flexible, rigid and semi-rigid packaging. Tests can be performed in any sequence and even repeatedly on a single sample. Good packages can be returned undamaged to the packaging line. VeriPacs inspection method is more reliable, cost effective and efficient than destructive methods, plus it eliminates subjective, misleading results that vary from operator to operator.

VeriPac inspection systems utilize an ASTM approved vacuum decay leak test method recognized by the FDA as a consensus standard for package integrity testing. (ASTM F2338 www.astm.org) This ASTM method was developed using VeriPac leak test instruments and has proven its capabilities under GMP regulatory guidelines. VeriPacs non-destructive technology is capable of detecting package leaks and invisible defects using an absolute or differential pressure transducer leak test system. Test components are optimized according to the type of package being tested and the level of sensitivity required. VeriPac leak testers are designed to inspect flexible, rigid and semi-rigid packaging including Tyvek trays.

    • Non-destructive leak detection for dry filled packages.
    • Filled & sealed pouches containing dry product Rigid containers, cups, trays
    • Lidded flexible & semi-rigid packaging made of non-porous materials
    • Tyvek lidded blisters

Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) Testing

PETPlus Instrument for the Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) Measurement of PET Polymers
The Davenport PETPlus is a unique test instrument designed for fast and safe solvent-free intrinsic viscosity (IV) measurement of moisture-sensitive polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The instrument can be operated in stand alone mode to provide on screen results or used with our powerful data analysis software package NEXYGENPlus PET. Existing solvent methods for determining IV involve the need to handle and dispose of toxic solvents. This preferred method is both kinder to the environment and saves on the high costs of purchase and disposal of solvents.

PETPlusKey Features:

  • Simple to set up & Operation.
  • Fast analysis of samples (within 20 minutes)
  • Small Footprint
  • Only requires power & a pressurized nitrogen gas supply for operation.
  • PET polymer producer, PET film manufacturer, Convertors, Packaging firms who purchasing PET granules from different suppliers, Research Centers, Plastic & Polymer Institutes, PET ReCyclers.

Microhardness Testing Systems

The Newage MT90 Series uses a Rockwell-type depth measurement test method to increase the productivity and accuracy of microhardness testing. It is extremely suitable for high-volume applications and is ideal for applications with varying levels of illumination, focus or surface finish. The MT90 features an exceptionally fast test allowing traverses to be completed quickly, efficiently and reliably. Since there is no interpretation in the impression measurement, tests can be performed by less-experienced operators. Case depth analysis can be performed efficiently as well.

Rockwell Testing Method Common testing method is easier for operators.

Reduced Operator Influence The MT90 makes the impression, measures the depth and reports the HRC value. The operator cannot influence the result.
